I thought Belgium were the better side until France scored. France parked the bus big time after that. Giroud was defending deep. To his credit he worked his butt off defensively even if his strinking let him down. He got away with a couple of fouls on Hazard just outside the box. Could have been game changers.

Anyway with the bus parked France defended well. It looked like Belgium would never score.

Fairplay to France. A tough hard fought win. I suspect they will be looking to the final with optimism. Football is a funny game though so you never know. Regardless they will Goliath to either Croatia or England's David.
 

They should have sent the French over to rescue them boys out the cave. World Class diving there.

Oh he did well against Brazil no doubt but you can't go through tournaments having the odd brilliant performance or set up to counter the opposition. Previously he could say I didn't have the best team on the pitch when that happened, tonight they did. Like you say we have seen it all before.

The first mistake he made was the biggest by beating England in that last group game.

Giroud wasted a lot of chances. France should have won by 2/3 goals.

He didn't even do well vs Brazil. They didn't create a clear cut chance and Brazil missed a couple. It was dumb luck and a moment of brilliance that won it. Not Roberto
