Never seen this guy play, but being voted top LB in La Liga and starring for Sevilla makes me think he is quite good.

Of course we wouid all love to keep our best players, but we don’t know the actual financial position we are in. And if selling Digne makes it possible for us to go and add 2 or 3 quality players, then surely it’s worth it.

The other option maybe keep him only add 2 or 3 players finish 8th or 9th next season and he will want to leave anyway and Richarlison too.

Id expect around £70mil for Digne. City have been signing full backs for £40/50mil and none of them have worked out.

Their defence needs work and theyre doing £41mil on Ake which is a huge fee for a relegated defender.

If Reguilon is £18mil and Gabriel £27mil then £45mil leaves £25mil.

Gabriel replaces Keane who is sold for £25mil ish.

We magically have £50mil and two very good new players as opposed to one donkey and one star.

I think that’s about 25mln overboard but the sentiment is bang on if we want to progress rapidly imo

Everybody sells at the right price, don't fool yourself to thinking mid table Everton FC are any different. It's the only way we can assemble a squad of talent by reinvesting.

We have reinvested badly in the past, true... but we must learn because we still need to buy players to progress regardless unless we throw in the towel and liquidate the club?

The truth is this squad needs an overhaul and LB isn't a position we should have 60/70m worth of investment. We need to spread that out across the pitch, if we could get Gabriel, Reggy and Allan for near enough one player then it's worth it.

We dont need a centre half.

We need a left back even if Digne stays, so then we need 2 if he leaves.

Reguilon is a risky signing. There is no guarantee he quickly adapts to English football.

I wouldn’t trust brands. If he sold Digne he’d spend the money on some dross. He sanctioned the iwobi deal ffs.

You say yourself we have so few quality players.
Genuine question how many players do you think we need this summer?

For me it’s not 2 or 3. It 6 .And it would be fantastic if we had the money To buy them all and could just get rid of some of the rubbish in the squad to help fund it.

But if that’s not the case a one of our better players need to go. Then Digne is the obvious one.

If we don’t get enough quality in this summer, the we will lose Digne anyway and Richarlison, maybe even Ancelotti.
