Serie A

Another reason why its hard to get into the Italian league. Fox Sports announcing the game from Los Angeles.

Premier League and La Liga games are exciting to watch and generally don't have referees that have been bought mate.

It's subjective. There's a hell of a lot of dross in our league and don't pretend you watch any La Liga games without Barca/Madrid. You're fooling no one.

As for corruption, sure it's rife, but the premier league ain't squeaky clean. And the amount of money that goes to Madrid/Barca, propagating a two-horse race dominance is as bad for competition and as corrupt as anything that happens in Serie A.

I've been to La Liga games lid.

Like I said, much more exciting football than Serie A and no referees that have been bought.

I remember Serie A in its pomp and it was even sh*te then.

You've never left Bootle you big dreamer blert.

Anyway, quality of football is subjective. I'd watch Madrid vs Barca over any teams in the world, but beyond that and a few sides like Valencia, there's not much that grips me. Also, diving is a gigantic part of the game there -- indisputably more than in Italy -- and that annoys me.

Pfft. Take your pizza tinted glasses off lid. There's more play acting in Serie A, its the home of play acting.

The Premiership, La Lids and Bundesliga are miles ahead of Serie A now as any footballing neutral would tell you.

Not having that. I've got no allegiance to Italian football at all, it's just won me over itself in the past few seasons.

Personally, taking everything into account, in terms of entertainment I'd rank the leagues:

Bundesliga
Serie A
Premier League
La Liga
.
.
.
.
Conference South
.
.
The Vatican Over 60s Sunday League
.
Scottish Premier League

Dont be silly.

The Premeirship is streets ahead of all Leagues.

This is from somebody, who whilst addicted to online betting, spent the best part of a Year watching everything from German 3rd division to Latvian sunday League.

The Vatican Over 60s have some boss players in fairness.

I think there are more better teams in it than the premier league.

Btw, which Milan club is considered the biggest? I would've said inter but not sure? Are there a lot of glory hunting supporters around Italy who live miles away from Milan?

To be honest mate I know Italy very well, work with them, travel there and I know the game well there.

Juve are still the biggest. The matchgoing base is tiny but they are still vastly popular everywhere. Calciopoli has impacted but hasn'st knocked them.

Milan and Inter is interesting. It seems to me that the city is 50:50, the regions of Lombardy Trentino etc seem heavily Inter but elsewhere in Italy Milan are the anti Juve choice.

In terms of fan rivalry Juve V Inter is deeper and hotter than Juve V Milan. Across Piedmont, Lombardy, Trentino, Liguria and other nothern provinces Juve V Inter is THE game outside of places like Genoa which have their own teams. Its called the Derby d'Italia but Juve V Milan is a rival for that title nationwide but Juve V Inter is definitely the Derby of Northern Italy.

LaLiga refs are all Barca/RM superfans. They don't need to be bought.

I think la ligas a better standard of football all round. Not nessessarily better to watch. But even the bottom sides know how to pass the ball around. Cutting edge is a different matter. Entertainment wise The Bundeslids is a brilliant league to watch. I watched lecce siena today. It was **** even with the goals. And there was about 5 people in attendance.
