I really feel with the new season coming so quickly we should be trying to win the last two games with good performances so we are able to take some momentum into next season. Shame we will probably be terrible again.

Momentum only works if its the same gruop going into next season. I can envisage an unusal portion of players being gone by next seasno, or on the bench.

Couldn’t be looking forward to this any less. The last few performances have been woeful and we’ve nothing left to play for so expecting more of the same. On the plus side we’ll be a game closer to shifting some dross.

I know you wont know this as your a blade not a blue, but we here at Everton specialise in firsts, for other teams.

- New signing failed to score since joining? Play Everton.
- Team struggling for confidence and need a good performance to start their season? Play Everton.
- Bang average dross player on a drought? Play Everton.
- Bottom of the league and no away win all season? Play Everton.
- Goalkeeper need a good game after dropping a howler? Play Everton.

I could go on.

It would honestly not surprise me if you bang four or five in tonight, purely based on how bad we are. That's before taking into account that Sheff Utd are a well drilled team who can play some footy sometimes, even if there arent any special names or players. Wilder has done a fantastic job there.

And to clear it up, some of us are doom merchants all the time but the whole forum is pretty much down-hearted about the whole club at the moment. It's not like we are inconsistent, we are just truly bad. How can you win football matches with midfielders who just aren't bothered? We have a special talent in Richarlison who plays with his heart every single game, even if he has a bad one and yet we have not a single piece of quality in the middle.

The only thing we can cling onto is we have one of the best managers ever to grace football, who will over time fix this mess.

Incoming loss.

I think you will find that there isn’t much difference between your opinion of Everton and mine of United. I always think it’s us that is the soft touch where the opposition is concerned.
The main difference is that you’re moaning about your club who are going to have another mid table finish in the top league where you have been since I don’t know when, that’s a pretty good place to be from where most of us come from. I understand that your expectations will be higher than mine, but you support a wonderful club with a great heritage who win major trophies. Our lot on the other hand have had years of being shafted by a series of tide-wad chairmen, under investment and rubbish managers. You wouldn’t believe just how bad we’ve had it over the last 45 years or so. A few years in the top flight then back to the depths, a few cup semi finals and a couple of lower league champions trophy’s. I think that up to about 1977 we’d never finished a season below eleventh in the second division with most of our history in the first division.
You lads shouldn’t really be too down, you know you’ll come good again soon whereas all we are hoping for is some investment this time around to build on this season, keep Wilder and stay up for a decent length of time.
The support is there, we just want some reward for our loyalty after years of rubbish.
Keep the faith.
