Considering where we where when Silva got sacked we have to accept it as a relief to finish this wretched season in a relatively comfortable position.
But some think Europe was attainable with this sorry looking squad.

Thought that Jarrad Branthwaite was MotM. I know we pretty much see these games as pointless, but he won't. That would have been another big day for him, and he stepped up and produced a solid performance. Well done to the lad.

I thought you need to score more than 6 goals in 8 games to be a successful side was pretty surface level but apparently I was mistaken.

I think it was attainable at one point and possibly testament to Ancelotti that we were still in for a shout of it until two games ago.

I don't think that's an excuse for this low a total. I don't want to come off as going at Carlo because I'm not but I think we're expecting players to come in and revolutionize things and that might be risky. I'd just like to see more beforehand.

If you’re looking to this squad for hope then you’ll be sorely disappointed.

We want, and Carlo needs, some of his own players.

I'm just more interested in the performance and it was good in some ways, namely defensively and some of the possession stuff in our third and the middle third, and it was bad in the attacking third. As we've been bad in the attacking third for a long while now, I'm concerned.

If you'd asked me about Keane 10 games ago and I'd have had my head in my hands. But whatever has happened since he now looks undroppable in the heart of that defence. Winning everything in the air. Organising the back 4. Just plain solid.

Hate to say it but the Keane got so much better once their was no crowd, hopefully he can keep it up in a 25% full stadium next season
