Sheffield United boss Chris Wilder, speaking to Amazon Prime: "Top six should never have been in the equation from the minute we set foot into the division.

"What you try and do in a season is try and get your players and club to overachieve and we have ridiculously overachieved.

"Immediately after the game I am disappointed for the players. we had a real go at it but they just lacked that bit of quality. Sometimes I shake my head when I see the players the opposition can bring on.

"We have overachieved and there are quite a lot of clubs that would want to swap places with us.

"I thought we deserved something from the game. We let ourselves down with the quality at the top end of the pitch."
oh no it's Anthony Gordon and 31 year old Seamus Coleman.

So you got your wish.

How many times do we need to discuss this....it aint Carlo's team.
A win is a win , better than getting beat or drawing a game we should have won.

Season was a write off in December mate.
Pretty pointless moaning about it now.
Call it what you want I want to see some progress at some point and we aren't exactly doing that. I get it we lack talent but he's played Gylfi at #10 tonight and it's went how everyone thought. Stuff like that frustrates me and at this point in the season getting a tight 1-0 win isn't huge consolation. I want to see us be competitive for Europe at some point here.

Ok ok ....I know now you arnt even watching these games .
As much as we want Gylfi gone he played very well tonight and that cross for the goal was sublime.

And Europe vanished a while ago but you want to bitch about it now.

Take it for what it is , a win away from home ....far better than the usual defeat.

Gylfi was not good enough in open play. I already know he can take a free kick half decent.

But that's missing the point. I've been saying from before the restart that our chances of making Europe have been nonexistent and that we should use these games as an extended preseason to get ready. I've not been super arsed about results this entire time and it's why after 8 games of not doing much at all with the ball from open play that I'm not arsed at all about a 1-0 win.

We've got the defending down and that's good but there was plenty of possession for us today and it resulted in 5 shots and I think only 3 of those were created in open play. That isn't a great thing for the future.

Not heard the chris wilder interview but blues seem a bit unhappy with it, any links?

Just a full on nark, said his team deserved to win (0 shots on target )compared budgets and was generally a misery with the female reporter ,considering he wasn’t bothered about Europe he needed to tell his face that

What formation did we actually end up in? I read that Sigurdsson tucked in from the left and the extra man suddenly caused Gomes to look sexy again?

Kinda 4-2-3-1
