Nice win albeit pointless but can I just say that that Henderson is GROSSLY overrated by the media. Bigging up another young English goalie for their eventual sacrifice it seems

There were certainly some decent stretches of possession for us but we've still ended up with only 5 shots and not a lot of sustained pressure on the penalty area so I'd hesitate to suggest we're making tons of progress. We've got to sort out the creative players. Richarlison is still a striker first, Sigurdsson is still not getting it done from open play and you'd be forgiven for forgetting Walcott was out there.

I know we won but at this stage it's about playing better and you'd be hard pressed to say we are. That was basically a redux of Norwich.
Some folk can never be happy even with a win , always looking at the negatives.

I'd take 1-0 scruffy wins all day over silky skills and getting beat all the time.

Wins build confidence losses dont.

Sheffield United boss Chris Wilder, speaking to Amazon Prime: "Top six should never have been in the equation from the minute we set foot into the division.

"What you try and do in a season is try and get your players and club to overachieve and we have ridiculously overachieved.

"Immediately after the game I am disappointed for the players. we had a real go at it but they just lacked that bit of quality. Sometimes I shake my head when I see the players the opposition can bring on.

"We have overachieved and there are quite a lot of clubs that would want to swap places with us.

"I thought we deserved something from the game. We let ourselves down with the quality at the top end of the pitch."

How he doesn't shake his head at our subs. 18-year old kid, useless Coleman and Iwobi.

Gomes has gone from say something I'm giving up on you to simply the best in 1 game.
Some exquisite passing tonight.
Next season let's have we are the champions.

When wins aren't the difference between 11th and 12th I'll be overjoyed to squeak them out. As it stands I want to see us improving and getting young players minutes. Branthwaite is a positive on one front but we're not playing better yet.

Sheffield United boss Chris Wilder, speaking to MOTD: "It has been an incredible effort. I am looking at the bigger picture, we should not be anywhere near it (the top six). We have lost the last two games - Leicester who are going for the Champions League and a big side in Everton.

"The club and the players have over achieved massively. To have any talk of jumping into the top six means the payers deserve an enormous amount of credit.

"We are delighted as staff we have got the maximum out of the players. They have left everything out there yet again tonight. Yes they lacked that bit of quality in the final third but top 10 guaranteed and another season in the Premier League - that is what we should be reflecting on.

"I'm just disappointed to be honest because I am sure there would be 32,000 supporters now giving these boys a standing ovation. To beat the likes of Spurs, Chelsea and Wolves - I think the supporters would have recognised what we have done this season.

"There was a situation not that long ago when there were 3,000 people left in the ground when we were 12th in League One and the players did a lap of honour."

The players' attitude is incredible. We are going toe-to-toe with established Premier League clubs - just look at the manager Everton have and the players they have and they were delighted with the result and our players were disappointed. That reaction says a lot about them.

"We could analyse the game and look at the lack of quality in the final third but I am looking at what the players give me every game.

"They should not be embarrassed by any sort of performance or result. We want to finish the season on a high and get a result at Southampton.

"It has been a fabulous experience this season and one we want to make sure after Sunday afternoon we don't go out the back door and hopefully we won't."

So you got your wish.

How many times do we need to discuss this....it aint Carlo's team.
A win is a win , better than getting beat or drawing a game we should have won.

Season was a write off in December mate.
Pretty pointless moaning about it now.
