Stick a midfield destroyer next to Gomes and watch him flourish.

Looked 100% better today than in recent performances.

He did indeed, he was up for it though, you could see it in his tackling and his running, there was conviction and purpose. If he can stay fit and keep his head in a good place he will be superb. As much as he was good today he’s been so far off the pace I don’t know if he can be consistent enough.

Vastly improved from the last few games. we didn’t create loads, but they created virtually nothing. At times, in the 2nd half, we passed the ball fairly well. I wonder if we will go back to one striker more often. I imagine it will be mixed up a bit. Maybe a lot will depend on the upcoming transfer window. Well done to the whole team today, we certainly deserved the win, but we’re not like peak Brazil just yet! COYB!

Only caught the second half, a far better display. I wish we had that Gomes every week. Brainthwait looks a player, hopefully he will develop into a top drawer centre half.

A pleasing and well deserved victory. But for lack of quality and/or composure in the final third we could've scored more.

It was nice to struggle deciding who was MOTM. I went for Gomes. Though some had their moments I can't complain too much about any of our players today.
