That's fair enough.
I still wouldn't trust him on a one v one tho..

I mean he's scored pretty much every time he's been put through fully this season. Pretty sure he's scored like 70% of his 'big chances' this season - which is up there with Kane etc.

I can't actually remember the last 'good chance' we created for him. He certainly hasn't had one in any game at Goodison lately and didn't tonight.

There was the one where a corner fell to him v Leicester that he missed (just after we'd scored first) and then the one where Schmeichel made an amazing save onto the bar and Holgate hit home.

But in the absence of James, Digne and now Richarlison, we've not seen those sliderule crosses into the box for him to tap in - which is what his best source of goals is really.

14 club goals in all competitions this season, I'm very confident in him. The issue is he's all we have.

Mina for man of the match without doubt he was unreal tonight I thought

He won pretty much everything in the air, or just did enough. Keane was solid too, as was Holgate when he went in there.

I wouldn't play Yerry v City. He's playing well but there's no need for him to be in there. Go with Keane (assuming tonight was a pre-planned sub to rest his legs a bit) and Holgate, and give Yerry a rest ahead of West Ham.

Against Arsenal and today, Davies' game has been simplified. Get it off the CBs, and look to play out.

He plays that role well. Really, he should have played there v Utd. It also gives licence to Doucoure to get about.

That being said, our issues in the first half stemmed from a lack of movement up top. I don't think it was on Gordon, and I'd have kept him on, but Bernard improved us because he dropped in to play between the lines, and we missed that in the first half. Really, though, it should have been Gylfi doing it... Issue is, Gylfi can't run with the ball like Bernard can, so we were just crabbing.

Ultimately, and look I wanted Gylfi off, but ultimately, he stays on because for moments like the goal.
