And we looked way worse when he went off.Far to posutive.
Gueye was first on the teamsheet to prevent winless luton.
This is not a compliment to Gueye either.

Seriously?Apart from the odd game whereby the stars align; the football is awful. Luton claim their first win and our home record over the last 8 is as follows:
4 home defeats on the run
7 defeats in the last 8
15 goals conceded
4 goals scored
4 points out of 24
That is Sean dyches everton.
Is this what you expect from Everton Football Club?

Mcneil Danjuma or Harrison Central off the forwardTotally get that but we dont actually have that player do we? Thats kind of the issue. Who else have we got? Gomes? (I dont even know if he is still here!) Onyango? Who else?
7 home defeats in 8, lost all 4 home games at the start of a season for the first time since 2005, if Bournemouth and Brighton beat us it’ll match the home start Mike Walker made in 1994/95 and Walter Smith in 1998/99 of not winning the first 6 home games, he’ll tie Walker’s record for 7 consecutive in all competitions if Burnley knock us out as well in between and set a new record for both league and all competitions if he still somehow survives by the time United come to town at the end of NovemberNo. And it's not going to happen either.
Do we really need one of these threads every time we lose a game of football ?
We went positive though (I actually think Gueye is more use to us going forward then defensively these days, not that thats saying much). we got done by some awful defending. Goals where I would have liked us to take more caution!Intent was there from the start though. Caution first. Im guessing now in the build up to luton he had no thought of working on a more positive formation with more options than he's had previously. It was more sh!t we're losing at half time. I now need to throw others on with half the game gone and them ready to dig in.
I wouldnt be against that but again, lets be realistic here, none of them are world beaters (and I like McNeil but he is as erratic as the rest of them).Mcneil Danjuma or Harrison Central off the forward

If we persist with Doucoure as pretty much a second striker we are going to just lump it forward all day like we did today. Its not sustainable and it won't work consistently. The lows will outweigh the highs.I wouldnt be against that but again, lets be realistic here, none of them are world beaters (and I like McNeil but he is as erratic as the rest of them).
Again I get that but the solutions mentioned are not the answer either really. We don't actually have that player. If we persist with Doucoure as pretty much a second striker we are going to just lump it forward all day like we did today. You need to play actual football through the lines in 2023. You need players who can get it on the half turn and link the play. We didnt have that today and it was embarrassing how easily we were nullified by Luton.
