Should Dyche be sacked?

Is it time to boot the dinosaur?

All of these options are crap too though, thats the issue. (And I don't neccessarily disagree with you either)

None of these options change the fact that we did not learn from the same corner being taken five times with each attempt getting closer to goal until the scored, nor does it alter the fact that our full backs are useless.

We did not play cautiously today, we may have got a better result if we actually did!
Were the same options crap when we beat Villa then?

Stats, facts and the eye test all say this is incredibly wrong though.
Stats mean nothing.

We are not "putting it in the mixer" or anything like that. And we probably should with the players we have got.

Its not long ball crap or negative crap or anything else (maybe against Arsenal) its just general crap, it doesnt need a label style wise.

The starting line up had two central midfielders that are by trade water carriers. And most of the time poor ones at that.
Try something different at home to Luton town.

How's he not under pressure by the way?

His record is as bad as all the previous managers and their sackings were all deemed absolutely correct, if not overdue when they happenned.

His home record is an absolute embarassment. There's no defending this many losses and he should be considering his position if anything.

Absolutely nothing from the media about him and his record.

If we played it today yes, they probably would have been.

One game in the league cup doesnt change that.

Every single set up, player and option we have is not good enough. We may turn up and win sometimes but it is general the same players in slightly different positions who will make the same mistakes each time because they are not good enough.

How often do we do this going into a game fancying ourselves only to crumble like today? Its been happening for decades now!

It would make sense if teams in worse positions than us manager to hire decent managers year after year. How many mangers have we hired since Moyes that haven't relegated teams? Two?
I'm struggling to think of the second one... Lampard? He just didnt have time to get relegated.

I've been pretty much Dyche in until today. And by today I mean pre-match.

When I saw that team sheet with Garner shunted out of position again and the same old tired combo of Gana and Doucoure leaving Onana confused as to what's going on, I was done with Dyche.

So what if Harrison wasn't fit enough for 90? Get another hour out of him and make changes then.

Our best two central midfielders in terms of basic footballing ability are Garner and Onana. Anybody with two functioning eyes can see that, but old Dychey, loves his experienced players.

You can argue we create chances, like we did V Fulham and Wolves. The issue is who those chances are falling to. The easiest chance in the first half was Douccoure not being fast enough to react, luckily DCL was on the spot after the keeper palmed it into his path. The next easiest chance for me Gana, acres of space, edge of the box, great little lay off and he sidefoots the ball miles wide. If those two players are not on that pitch, at least they can't miss, give somebody else a go ffs.

Ashley Young? Bought as squad cover and should be exactly that. Like the Keane v Branthwaite debate early on, Branthwaite will probably improve, Keane definitely won't. Same applies to Patterson, Young peaked years ago and is on the slide. Still seems to be a nailed on starter.

Literally, the only thing saving Dyche is the lack of leadership. Nobody is on charge. Who has the authority to fire him? Thelwell? Chongy?

What. A. Club.

Great I am all for that. (who is the other water carrier though?)

We would still probably have lost because we are utter garbage.

You dont lose to Luton at home because we had one or two players slightly wrong. We went for them in the first half, we didnt take our chances and then got caught out.

I feel like I am playing the role of a Dyche defender here and I am absolutely not. I just have no faith in any other system, set up or players either because our squad has got massive gaping holes all over the place.

Stats about long balls forward mean more long balls forward. We are first, so it means we do it more than anyone else in the Prem.

We're absolutely trying to hoof it to the big lad and failing at doing that.

When we played direct and to the players instead to space (and in the air) we create and finish with dangerous chances, instead we pump it to literally no one.

So:

Why can't we play in the same setup like against Villa then? Pressing, direct, trying to carve the opposition open?

Does the fact we set up completely shockingly from the start, instead of like the previous 2 times that worked, not entirely on the manager? And the fact he does this ALL THE DAMN TIME, like last year when we were 3 games unbeaten until we had to change everything because of 1 suspension and went on a massive losing spree? lol

Laughable that you're defending him here for his most obvious flaws. What next, he's made us defensively solid? lol
