Should Dyche be sacked?

There arent really excuses anymore. We have the strikers, a full back in Young was bought. But the results are poor. No more excuses. 4 games to get points in or we have to twist.

This is the one. Who actually sacks him ?

And who do we get in ?
Aye its a mess.

Any new manager is screwed ayway. If I was the manager (And I should be...) I would be "Oh, I don't like those full backs, who else have we got? Nobody? Really? OK, I'll sign some in January, oh we have no money? Right. What about the youth team? All out on loan? No first team appearances either? Sound, I'll see what free agents are out there and sign some. Wait, who the hell is Kev and we do I need his permission?"

An utter shambles.

Soundbite Sean, he's not a legend, he's a Myth. Only the club know if A/ they have somebody else lined up and B/ can they afford to sack him, if the answer to both questions is yes, then he should go this weekend.

Great I am all for that. (who is the other water carrier though?)

We would still probably have lost because we are utter garbage.

You dont lose to Luton at home because we had one or two players slightly wrong. We went for them in the first half, we didnt take our chances and then got caught out.

I feel like I am playing the role of a Dyche defender here and I am absolutely not. I just have no faith in any other system, set up or players either because our squad has got massive gaping holes all over the place.
Mate playing 4-5-1 against a team that was playing 3 at the back, 5 at time was the most brain dead thing ever. Especially shunting people around to get your favourites in

All they did was weather the storm for 25 minutes, then from that point we did nothing.

There was a clear issue down the right hand side, Young couldn’t get past the halfway line so it leaves garner exposed. When he put Harrison it got worse, he was cutting in and nobody was going around the outside

Everything became congested because, again there’s no movement because of the team selection. There was no doubling up the wingbacks or trying to expose 1 of the 3 centre backs. Try to gain a player advantage in the middle of the park

The tactics were get it out wide and through a cross into the big lads. It was awful

Unless you try it how are you going to find out, instead of sticking with the tried and tested failing one. Freshen it up.

4 home games. 4 home defeats. When do you change it, after 5, 10 defeats? Lets just keep flogging that dead horse formation line up at home.

Stats about long balls forward mean more long balls forward. We are first, so it means we do it more than anyone else in the Prem.

We're absolutely trying to hoof it to the big lad and failing at doing that.

When we played direct and to the players instead to space (and in the air) we create and finish with dangerous chances, instead we pump it to literally no one.

So:

Why can't we play in the same setup like against Villa then? Pressing, direct, trying to carve the opposition open?

Does the fact we set up completely shockingly from the start, instead of like the previous 2 times that worked, not entirely on the manager? And the fact he does this ALL THE DAMN TIME, like last year when we were 3 games unbeaten until we had to change everything because of 1 suspension and went on a massive losing spree? lol

Laughable that you're defending him here for his most obvious flaws. What next, he's made us defensively solid? lol
I'm not defending him at all! What are you talking about? I havent even mentioned him!

This Villa stuff is nonsense though really. We beat a Villa side who played like a bunch of competition winners in a cup that they dont even care about and barely scraped through. So what? It was not a wonderful new era or a glimpse into what could have been or anything. Same as the Brighton game or the Brentford game, sometimes you just win a game by taking your chances. If you miss chances you run the risk of being caught out.

We looked no different from the last two games at the start today, until we conceded a rubbish goal. We do this often, its not about attacking intent or long ball its about taking our chances and being punished for it when we don't. Thats probably not going to change either and if you want me to slag off Dyche I will as I have big questions about our marking at set pieces and our composure in the final third. I'm not up for slagging him off about long ball though as I dont think its remotely true nor do I think its the reason we are struggling even if it was. Thats all.

I’d get Schumacher from Plymouth, plays football that’s entertaining, succeeded in the lower leagues. Would bite our hand off to manage Everton. Accept our fate and let him build something to bring us back up and at least give us some football that is less reliant on smashing it up the pitch and hoping for the best.

We had enough chances to win two games today. If the players miss that is on them but Dyche does not help himself by the team selections and tactics. He needs to go but I doubt he will and in any case who would come in? We have been scraping the bottom of the managerial barrel recently so I doubt the new manager will be an upgrade and we will be back to square one

I'm not the manager! It doesnt matter what I do.

As I said though we lost today because we did not take our chances and defending poorly when it matters, the same as we did against Fulham and Wolves and all the others (Arsenal was a bit different).

I just dont think the formation or set up is strictly why we have lost those games. Regardless of how we set up we need some urgent work on our play in the final third at each end of the pitch when it comes to taking and defending chances.

Some 20 years ago we were in pretty dire straits and recruited a good prospect who fit the way we wanted to go from the lower leagues.

We don't NEED a proven name. We need someone to play to these players strengths while having a plan for the future.
