Shame it'll probably take away from Cannon's 3 minute cameos, hope it doesn't harm his development too much but will be good to see if Simms is up to the level required for those 3 minutes. Nothing against Simms, hope he comes back and surprises everyone with some goals.
That being said, it is ridiculous that a premier league institution like Everton are relying on a young man deemed not good enough for first team football six months ago to now come back into the team and score goals to secure their survival.

I don't necessarily hate this. I don't think we're a bad team. We're just have literally 0 ability to create anything.

No-one thought he “wasn’t good enough” in summer. Just another symptom of underestimating Dom’s fragility. Even if we sign Harry Kane as a permanent no9, I’d rather Simms coming on for the last 10 mins than Maupay. Not embarrassing at all, makes perfect sense. We own a lad who is currently finding the net in a tough division, whilst also moaning we can’t score. May as well be on our bench behind whoever we buy/loan.
