I'd guess that the clauses are related to playing time though, so we can recall someone if they aren't playing but not if they are. That type of clause protects us from loaning out a player to get experience but them not getting it, but means that the loaning club is also protected, from losing a player that they're reliant on. I think most clubs would be very reluctant to loan a player nominally for the season if they felt they might lose them halfway through when they're playing every week.I‘d be surprised if we don’t have a recall option mate, I’ve sensed from discussions around other player e.g. Branthwaite , that we’ve put such options in all the loans contracts, mainly to ensure we can move them on if they’re not getting game time.
The reality is that if we have to consider recalling Simms it’s because we failed to get attackers in the January window.
