The system worked last season though i don't get how the players are confused.

Too much chopping and changing, being played out of position back 3s, back 5s, different formations, etc, etc.

Last season was mostly a settled 1st XI and they benefited from the continuity.

Nail on head and this is my problem. I don't get how the players are confused. For sure Martinez has played players out of position, sometimes due to injuries, other times I ain't got a clue. But it's pretty much the same players, asked to do the same things as last season and they aren't. Too many individual errors, mistakes the likes of me and you would make because we aren't pro footballers and they've been doing it game in game out. To me they don't want to take responsibility for their piss poor form so have now downed tools and just not making any effort whatsoever.

We have certainly slowed the tempo down and are going back a lot more.

Whatever happens mate, we all want the same thing which is a reaction from the lads on Tuesday, something to give us a bit of hope back and positivity because Everton truly have screwed us over football wise lately.
