What worries me is not only Martinez but the back room staff as well. Forget Martinez we need a strong coaching set up. For all we know jones, Lawrence and Duncan might be first class coaches but they lack experience. I don't know if they are trying to influence Roberto in any way to try and get us to tinker with our tactics and playing style, if they aren't well they should be. Every team has 'Sussed' us out, even mark Hughes of stoke city of all clubs alluded to the fact we would stick to our football principles and that would give his team time to get men behind the ball during the second half.
Take out Barry for besic I thought that was our strongest starting 11 on the pitch today, saying that Barkley was again wasted out wide instead of being played centrally. It is a major worry that we got beat and secondly the level of performance was so poor again. This is not a knee jerk reaction but we look like we are heading into a relegation fight. Today was systematic of too many performances this season. Very little spark or invention by us, too predictable and a lack of clear cut chances created.
I don't know if 'Roberto has lost the dressing room' but I doubt it. He has backed the players 100% in the whole time he has been with us. But there is no doubt Roberto will have to be ruthless in the transfer window, the likes of Barry and distin have been so poor this season, they need replacing ASAP as does a pact replacement for Piennar (perisic anyone). The next two weeks is massive for the club.

I don't buy this transitional season crap. That was last season. He's had a full season and a pre-season with these players, this is the season he gets judged on, and he's messing it right up.

I'd be prepared to give him time if I didn't genuinely fear we might go down. But our results are relegation form.

I am so cheese on toast option on this, that I can't bring myself to vote either way

New years Resolution i) not to vote on any poll that doesn't have some sort of cheese based option for those who can't make their minds up.

off to watch the cricket now.

He's had 3 bad months. His performance last season has earned him the right to be given time to sort this mess out. Calling for him to be sacked now is completely knee-jerk.

I suppose I have to vote to see the percentages.
but to get to 29 pages this quick.
will vote no just to see how bad it will all get
also if not him, then who??
that, as they say is the question

Then he can F off and find somewhere else then.

The last few weeks have been like watching Walter Smith or Mike Walker's Everton, back to the dark ages. We as a club have worked too damn hard in the last decade or so to see it all fade away now, all because some arsewipe has his "philosophy" and because certain people in influential positions are too timid to hit both the manager and the players with some bloody home-truths!

It either changes NOW or he should leave, and take all the garbage in the team with him.
He can "F off....." Because a random fan on a forum said "he wouldn't listen anyway"? This thread has descended beyond farce.....and to consider our Clubs manager an "arsewipe"?

Jesus wept.
