Oviedo is a good player we need to give him time to get match fit.
I would rather have him on the wing than naismith, barkley or eto'o
But long term that's not his position and I didn't think last season he was anything special there. We need a proper left sided winger instead.

I agree with a lot of what davek is saying, yes we are on a bad run and I think Martinez has to take some of the blame for this as do the players. Martinez needs to stop playing players out of position and start and field his strongest team and we will soon turn the corner. Martinez is still the man for the job the fans need to get behind him and the players. I can't believe how fast some of the people on here have turned on rm

Has it really been a quick turn though? The performances have been shocking for the past few months. Even when we've won we haven't looked good. We're a shell of the side we saw last year. I'm not ready to say he should go, but it's getting there. The players don't look arsed, and Bobby seems to think all is well and good. A fire needs to be lit somewhere.

There's spends for sure. But his wage demands might be excessive for us.
I'd pay it if possible.

Not me personally, that's just silly.

Seriously we need a squad overhaul rather than a quick service. That needs to start with a goalie I reckon, and a good one like Cech, as opposed to another mediocre one, as that'd just be replacing like for like. Cech for example would be a step up in quality.

Of course he is. But he certainly is not in trouble with us 12th in the league.

Now how about showing this fine young manager of ours some LOYALTY?
We are 12th at the moment on a terrible run.
He is managing so poorly i can't understand why he is not changing things.
He really looks lost and the players he has look lost as well, there is not one playing to his potential.
Surely you must be worried at how he is reacting to the mess we are in

Really sad that some people want to hound out an Everton manager.

Well, thankfully you wont get your way.

Hard lines.

I won't agree with you on everything mate but this time I couldn't agree more. It's not about opinions, it's about pure and utter [Poor language removed] bellwhiffery from certain posters who just love to see the same [Poor language removed] posted by themselves time and time again. I don't mind an opinion but we can't even get through a [Poor language removed] 1st half without someone saying Martinez should make 3 subs and it's like folk are buzzing because he's made a mistake.

Get behind the lads or [Poor language removed] off is all I've got to say on the matter. I've seen shitter teams than this and darker times than this. Yes we can do better and yes it's o.k to have a rant but there's tits on here who I swear are [Poor language removed] creaming there pants at the minute like they think they because it's sound on Fifa it must be sound in real life.

IF he ever gets sacked it will be because he's lost the dressing room. If anyone thinks that was a side who had no faith in the manager they are [Poor language removed] deluded. That was a side at rock bottom of confidence 3-1 down and not performing naturally and we either stick together and get them out of this [Poor language removed] along with the manager or we continue to stuck the knife in like a shower of [Poor language removed] Kopites. Rant over. [Poor language removed] sick of it.

Defensive coach stat, I've been saying since Leicester, when we blew a match winning position
The goalie back four and defensive mid or MIDS need to act as one
Not balloon the ball in the air or constantly pass to the opposition
Bring back Stubbs as defensive coach and pay him good money

It could be a start mate.
The defenders just panic thats why they make so many mistakes

A slump?
We are effing awful. Can't remember the last time we actually looked, good. The defence, don't get me started with that.
I'm teetering on the brink, with him.
Really, don't like, what I am seeing.
That's the nature of a slump...it's awful.

The thing about a slump though is that if everyone remains positive, calm and does their job, you get out of it.

That's what we should do then: be positive and calm and let the players and manager do their job without piling more pressure on them.

That sounds like a good plan to me.

Or we could all just throw our handbags in the air and start shrieking

Hear hear Dave.

Progress is never in a straight line and I'm sure RM is learning a lot about himself and his players in this difficult period.

Clearly he has a plan in terms of the development of the team and the style of football we play. The application and the benefits of this are not currently what we would wish, but the man has earned the time to see it through to fruition.

We're not going to get relegated, and yes we'd like to be league wise where we where this time last year but we must keep faith in him .

Based on how we're playing right now, we're in a relegation battle. We keep thinking it'll turn around and we'll get back on track but we haven't done so.

I'm concerned to say the least.
