People need to stop saying Garbutt and Kone played well, Kone scored a cracking goal and then went utterly AWOL, did Garbutt even play? Cos I dont recall him doing anything all match.

I'll stop saying Kone played well yesterday if you really insist,. Sadly still think his overall performance level yesterday was better than Rom's has been most of the season

Joel punching like a 6 year old started the defensive horrors that led to the second goal.

Baines played a great through ball but when at LB would take those positions anyway.

Garbutt is a prospect but looks suspect defensively

If you think Kone is better than Lukaku then I really can not help you

So did kicking of for the half start the sequence that lead to the first goal. McGeady gave the ball away without even being pressurized - it was his fault and only his fault.

Well you say that about Baines but that's just not true. In the left back role Baines finds himself far closer to the touchline which means that angle is never on. The fact that he picked the ball up in a position that Eto'o, Barkley, Naismith or Barry often find themselves in allowed him to play it. It was played from around about the same position as the one to him from Barry in the Stoke game. Barry has the ability and vision but just doesn't find the space often enough to have time. Eto'o seems to overhit everything and Naismith and Barkley never look forward more than 5 yards.

Garbutt needs more games before any judgement can be made. I thought he did OK.

Kone is not better than Lukaku, I've been one of Rom's biggest defenders however Kone is playing better than him right now.

Too much money at stake now to drop out of the premier league - a few more managerial change will happen soon.

BK needs to decide now if RM is the man and back him to buy players in Jan 2015 transfer window, or decide who will replace him.

One game, give him a chance.

but really this has nothing to do with the thread, "should RM be sacked".

It has a lot to do with it. You eitehr think RM did the right thing in experimenting or, like me, you think he threw away our chnace of winning by dicking around with a line up already shredded by injury

That really is the awkward state, if money is given to RM and our plight continues then is the money wasted. Or should it be held back for a new manger to spend on players he wants. The ball is in BK's court. Give money to RM or give him the push.

I think decisions need to be made without thinking about transfers - no ins without outs. So who are we selling?

Fair enough Dave but at what point will your confidence wane. As for L4, Moyes blooded Barkley and Garbutt not RM. In addition talk of our ERx and how he was treated shows some have forgotten how he came to leave and BK did not have a clue, arguably if people recall rumour has it that our EX was given the nod that Xmas.

As for signings RM has saddled us with a load of tripe the only good ones to me are Lukaku, Besic and McCarthey. All very well to talk of moving out some players in January but the ones we want to go are not wanted by any other club however you can bet someone will be in for a player or two we do not want to lose.
Unfortunately you speak a lot of sense there however we need to at least give him to the end of the season or until we look like we're really in danger of going down.

Lets just say I don't agree with you and Vice Versa and leave it that. After all it is our respective opinions. I wonder though if Garbutt had had a great game and some on here think it was a decent debut no doubt you would applaud the experiment.

I want us to do well and obviously if thats happening martinez is doing well but i worry about him turning it round.
We all do but now isn't the time to want him out because that will only quicken his exit. Now if you think he's not the man for the job and therefore don't want him to do well I can understand that too.

However if the reason is because of some misguided (and I'm not necessarily talking to you) feeling of loyalty or revenge for Moyes then grow up.

Moyes is gone, Moyes also tried to screw us over and while he was good for us while he was here he's history now.

We do not need to sell - but Distin and Howard would be on my list

You can't just sell a player. Another club has to want that player. Now do you know of any clubs that have expressed interest or by rumour in Howard, Distin, Barry, Hibbert, McGeady, Osman, and a few others?
