But thats the thing. The average dude is just gonna look at that price, see what that would get him in a PC, and get a PC!

Nobody is getting wound up, for the average user a mac is at the moment just too different sure they have done amazingly well with the ipod and the design of the mac, but for now its still a distant 2nd place.

Which don't get me wrong, is a shame, I'd like to see a world where everything works with everything whats that word... interopability?

Things like openoffice are superb examples.

What? Of course not... You might be used to talking to people who haven't got a clue about the computer world but I am not one of them!

A distant 2nd in terms of units sold and used.

Catching up fast yes, but still distant.

Well that depends on the model and what you use it for. Gaming is obviously different, but when Mac's are used by designers and film editors, I doubt that a low performance in graphics is accepted.

Anyway, lets all agree to disagree.

but thats the thing, it wasn't just a question... obviously mac vs. pc isn't a gfx thing that's a given.

You could have a sandbox for a certain person to construct all his wiki related retorts and colourful crayons.

We should be able to all meet in a next life type graphics game. Only a bit like GTA so we all had guns and stuff.
