I admit I am not sure of the financial impacts or FFP were we to go down. But look at Burnley, they flogged most of their first team, bought a new squad for a fraction of that (think they've spent less than £20M on 14 new players?) and now they're pegged to go straight back up playing exciting football.
We don't have an Everton to flog a McNeil type to, nor newcastle paying hugely ocer the odds for Wood for instance. Burnley cashed out on a few players and turned the squad around cleverly in time with dropping wages and taking the championship by storm. We don't have that sort of luck or foresight, we'd coax rooney out of retirement for a season for a giggle and some good times. The clubs a shambles run like a bordello all on a song and dance.
The timing is hilarious, the club goes down the pan as Goodison closes and theres no money to move into BMD. Homeless like Coventry. A forgotten footnote in history, unloved, uncared for and then lost.

Hateful!

Yes, but will the new, cheap squad be good enough to keep them up? It might, but probably won't.

The feeling in my stomach this morning, after a sleepless night courtesy of Pantomime FC again !! There's a couple of RS at work who would be rubbing their hands, so thank fk for Brentford.

We the fans got these carthorses, coaches and board over the line last season, surely they owe us, Don't They ??
Accept that it's over. Just enjoy the carnage as it happens. Seeing moshiri's head on a pike and kenwrights bloated corpse floating down the Mersey will be the best thing evertonians have seen in decades.

Not my money so I’m not arsed. If it’s Everton’s future then so be it.

We have no divine right being in the PL. I’ll still support them no matter what league they play in.

What a really weird thing to say. If we go into administration you might not get the chance to watch them in any league.

Sunderland, Leeds, Charlton, Portsmouth…

We won’t go into administration. A stadium is being built on the Liverpool waterfront as you know, with massive investment coming into that area.

Everton are not going to just “die”.

I’ve checked it’s £13m a year for 3 seasons loses or face penalties , if relegated it feels inevitable we’re getting docked points if we don’t bounce back . I wouldn’t be so quick to dismiss the possibility of us being in real trouble if we are relegated .

They would have had relegation clauses in players contracts for their wages.

We don't.

We would be screwed.

And we'll get no favours from the worshipping RS FA !!

You’ll get no argument from me about bias but In fairness to the EFL , unlike the FA or the Prem , they seem fairly even handed when it comes to enforcing their rules whoever the breaker and frankly whatever the circumstances. Which , if the worst happens , won’t be of any comfort to us .

Didn't sleep well either but I am coming to accept there isn't much we can do we dragged them over the line last season have any of us got the fight left when we are back here again? They didn't learn their lesson. Instead they sold our best player and replaced with dross. The club is rotten until the rot goes we are terminal
