I wonder if we will have a repeat of what Moyes's transfer policy was like, where we would be linked with like 20 players and then sign someone completely different?
As crazy as it may sound, if we 'bought' Barry then perhaps another loan from chelsea could be an option. I don't like the idea of loaning players from other clubs but someone like Mata, De Brune, Essien could make a difference in midfield for the next few months? No chance i know but if Mourinho wants us to take points off other teams.......
I say this figurativly but surely the club must realise the benefit of bringing i n new players for the res tof the season? The last time we did that we had almost the best form in the league with Jelavic, Pienarr, Donovan and Gibson. Imagine bringing in 4 and repeating the good form, with a league like it is now we could guarantee top 4!

I have said it before we could be a lot stronger by not actually gaining any extra bodies in the squad. If we replaced Heitinga, Jelavic, and for arguments sake Gueye and Vellios with 4 additional players then we wouldn't be stronger in the sense of extra players but if they were a lot closer to playing in the first team than the abovementioned then it would help us over the next 4 months.
You can't have more than 1 loanee from a PL club. Signing Barry and opening up a another loan space wouldn't be a bad thing though. I would take Lescott from City with a view to making it permanent at the seasons end.

Can't officially sign him until June 1st due to him being in the same country as us. You'd imagine that we've mentioned to him that we want him to stay at the end of the year though
