think we are allowed 4 but not from the same PL teams or something. May only be able to play three though.

Right, got ya. Well, the Japanese league ends next weekend which means Yoichiro Kakitani (http://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/en/yoichiro-kakitani/leistungsdaten/spieler_114198.html) will be without club football until the World Cup. Now I'm sure his club side will want the best for Japan which would be their number one striker playing competitively up until the summer.

I saw him against a strong Belgium XI recently and he was fantastic in a 3-2 win (Japan were away too and they are notoriously bad outside of Asia). Very good with the ball, Japan were playing the boss slotter we've come to see from Everton in recent times. Also, Martinez has a bit of a history for going to left-field countries for players, and has also worked with Japanese before, so its not too unrealistic an option.

I reckon we'll defo sign a CM and a Striker in Jan to replace Gibson and Kone, and then maybe Donovan or Dempsey on loan.

I would be VERY happy with this, provided the CM and striker are actually decent.

Would definitely finish in a European spot if this happened.

i'd settle witha great centre mid with an engine and a good striker in with no outs. maybe a goalscoring winger if at all possible and of course a keeper like begovic, but i doubt martinez will look to replace howard quite yet.

Don't think we will get a striker lads, as all the ones which would improve us will cost mega bucks in January. I know some have mentioned the likes of Long from WBA, but I'm not convinced we would get any real return on an investment apart from a tireless runner.

Fernando I reckon will come in, probs been lined up since the injury to Gibson.

Love Landon, but I'm bored of the 6 week loans so I'm not too fussed if he comes back or not.

I'd like a winger again looking at those with expiring contracts, Ince or McGeady are likely to be pretty cost effective.

I'd say CB, especially with the rumours of Heitinga to Fiorentina... But Distin, Jagielka, Stones, Duffy and Alcaraz is ample enough, right? But if we were to go for someone like Martins Indi, then that'd be a belter too.

Midfield, well i guess, if we can bolster the Left Wing, it'd be sound, just not McGeady, he really is just not a calibre of player we need, it screams Stoke or something like that, I don't think he's good enough.

Forwards, I'd say it needs to be looked at, because quite simply, if Lukaku gets injured, we're stuck with Jelavic, not even Vellios!

If anything of quality comes up, then hopefully we can take advantage too.

Is that Fernando any good? I'd certainly take a punt for £5m, but is he any good?

Or is he just a Manny Fernandes, cult myth that all Blues love to think?
