If say Ince was more suited to us longer term, however mcGeady if inexpensive would sort the wings going forward if we lose deulofeu.

Of course they could do a lot of interchanging but lets see...

from what I've seen of garbutt on the occaisions when i've watched him play is he's quite good going forward but not quite good enough defensively (a bit like Coleman when we first got him). been doing alright and been solid in league one however.

I would be disappointed if we brought in only McGeady. I don't think he is good enough to replace anyone in the starting eleven and would only provide competition for the bench, granted he would be a step up from Naismith. Tom Ince looks like a good buy, young winger with a lot of potential. As long as he isn't Drenthe levels of arrogant then I think he will fit in fine with the team. I think if we got both players there would be a lot of competition for the wings and some decent back up.

id agree with this. think we need some cover at CM and striker. RM mentioned replacements for kone and gibson

How'd you compare him to De Bruyne Dutch? he was the one i have wanted since last January like, still gutted it looks like he's off to the bundesliga not us

That is the original article. Doesnt source anything but does mention they will expect a strong bid and that the Fer deal was cancelled as they thought we didnt actually have the money(and were probably right) would be a brilliant signing if it somehow came off though
