What worries me is that Jelavic going has made money available for mcgeady to sign now, according to that martinez quote.

So despite the net income of ten million this summer, there was nothing left again.

Well when asked in the press conference at finch farm martinez dismissed suggestions mcgready was having a medical. Tonight he says the signing of mcgready means we don't have to rush to buy a number 9, but that don't assume that means he wont. Just look at mcgready!!!

It's a very low fee probs around 1-1.5m so I wouldn't say the money's the problem. Maybe now jelavic is gone we have less wages which means Mcgeady can replace his wages without affecting the wage structure of the club

I think Mcgeady will be pretty good.

Agree I thought that too which is a bit of a concern. If we had to sell a player to pay a "nominal" fee to bring in Mcgeady now, then there doesn't exactly sound like a huge pot to bring in another striker!

Maybe the quote was taken out of context though who knows.
