Exactly, that's what I'm hoping too. Martinez has been doing good things with the money available anyway
 
Think he meant that we still have some depth at the squad and there's no reason to panic buy a striker. I think RM has his targets and is going to work on getting them in in due time. Mirallas can play up top for a game or two while RM works on bringing someone in by the end of the window

But Mcgeady should have nothing to do with the striker situation at all as he's not a striker. A striker has just been sold, leaving a 20 year old as our only recognised out and out striker.

Mcgeady coming in doesn't solve that problem at all he's not going to play up front.

we should be making sure we have another striker signed before sanctioning the Jelavic sale imo. We're desperately short up front.

I didn't say it solved the problem but it's clear its not an urgent concern to RM at the moment. I 100% believe he'll bring in a striker by the end of the window. I just think he thinks mcgeady coming in adds an option to the squad so there's no need to rush a buy. Mirallas is capable of playing up top as a stop gap if needed. He'll get a replacement in
 
We definitely needed two players at the start of the window, a striker and a CM. Still think we need both despite signing McGeady, even if one of them is a loan until the end of the season.
