Getting probably the best left back in Europe (if not the world) to sign a new contract is superb news and also bringing in a new winger is also good news, also getting rid of possibly 2 of out under performing players is very good news. Despite this people want us to sign players they have simply never seen play and then will blame Kenwright for everything !!! Sit down guys get yourself a beer and CHILL OUT FOR GODS SAKE !!!

agree, mate...apart from the insanely rabid anti-Kenwright crowd, the other issue was the DAVIDMOYES teaser which got us all excited. That's mainly why some of us are a bit underwhelmed so far.

McGeady - good move. We need more attacking options, was previously a £9m player and we've got him for buttons
Jelavic sale - good move. Not offered much for 18 months. High earner off the books and decent fee brought in.
Baines contract (if true) - good move. Best left back in the country staying with us.
All positives. Let's save the negativity and the moaning for 1st Feb if we haven't strengthened further.

That's been shown by how well we've performed with a number of injuries whilst still adapting to new style of play etc. We only need 2-3 additions to make us even better and I trust Martinez will look for the right players to improve us. The mistake would be rushing into something and either signing a player who isn't right just because others aren't available or jumping the gun when other better players might become available towards the end of the window - which tends to happen when there is much more movement.

It's positive if the good news we're waiting for is a new contract for Baines... however I feel a bit miffed that he's waited so long to sign. Almost as if he was hanging on for a United move and now they've lost interest he's decided to stay here. Was any other club interested in him? Probably nobody above us in the league.

Every window is different. Funds, players, managers etc. you can't compare last season to this one. We thought we had zero last season, this season we feel we have some....either way spitting ur dummie out with 2 weeks to go in the window is just pathetic. RM has said he's looking, said he's after a couple of players, said we want to END the window stronger. Christ just wait till the end and if nothing has been done fume away!! Until then you really have not got anything to fume about.
