I don't really see the difference. If he can pull Lukaku out of nowhere I don't see why he wouldn't be able to keep the media out of permanent transfers. Also, although Geads was known to be a target he was paraded before anyone else even knew he'd had a medical. We can be sly when we need.

To be fair you did say permanent.

Lukaku, Deulofeu and Barry are all proved to be very good loan signings even they won't be with us next season. I was a doubter of the manager at the start of the season but the humble pie is so yummy although it looks as if the signing of one/two perm signings might not work out but every manager has done the same.
