Tadic vs Feyneoord this year, 2 goals 2 assists, the second assist is pure quality, for those doubting his versaitility you can see he plays most of the game on the left but seems to swap inside dropped off at times, lad looks pure quality, another thing to note is that with the final ball being Barkleys one big weakness atm, how much would it aid his development in that area training day in day out with a player like Tadic, could be the making of our ross as the complete midfielder we all hope he becomes

As a little bit of interest, if a sporting group now own 25% of Tadic, doesn't that mean if they are ameniable to it, then if we buy out the other 75% from twente then the group owns the other 25% and he woulld move to us, can see that being an option like as playing for a prem club as buig as us his effective value would raise a lot, pretty much a guaranteed rise on their 25% investment by doing nowt?

Similar to the situation with Teves and Maschorano where their transfer fees always seemed rather low due to the involvement of spme sporting group int heir ownership etc

Looks a player that lad. Even more tho, looks as if he can only get better too.

Think we'll see 1 more signing after McGeady and the striker who's having a medical. Not sure it will be a player like that tho, think it will be a more natural CM type tbh.

Third party ownership is banned in England, have to buy the full 100% to register him

Most glaring hole in the team is a playmaker type though mate, adding a player with the versatility to play across the three attacking mid roles would be a natural choice with Barkley able to drop into the center alongside Barry or Mccarthy should one of those be injured/suspended or ineligible as in Barry's case against city at Goodison and would seem the natural successor to an aging peinnar, Tadic reminds me a lot of Modric tbh from what i've seen of him (youtube only sadly)

I'd also add Bibras Natkho as a must to target bringing in, excellent replacement for Gisbson, currently without a club after turning down Khazans improved contract to re-sign, no fee involved, wages less than Heitenga if we can shift him finally, would be an ideal replacement for Gibson whilst injured and give us a great depth of midfield assuming we bring Barry in for the start of next

Get Tadic and Natkho in for combined around 12m including signing fees etc and for this and next year at the minimum we would be set completely in Defense and Midfield with only the striker position to sort out in the summer, honestly think we do this then it allows all Martinez attention going towards finding the Lukaku type for next year with any remaining funds/tv revenue (should be Lukaku as we would have the money their) and gives us a really powerful squad to actually be a regular top 4 team

and in the summer try to add to that with the sale of a few fringe players, Naismith, Velios, Gueye, Osman, and a few of the younger players who now will have experience in lower leagues 'who Martinez doesnt rate or think are capable of reaching the level we need' - such as Duffy, maybe Garbutt/Kennedy etc

Cheers mate, should have remembered that was the case although dunno how strictly its enforced as theirs loopholes im sure, dunno if that complicates or makes the deal more likely though, what it does mean is that their can be pressure asserted through the other group owning a percentage forcing a sale though i guess

I see what your saying but Barkley will develop that creativity in his game as more time passes. Don't forget while Barkley is not standing out for the "killer pass" as such, his running from deep and at defenders is unmatchable by any player in the league from that No.10 midfield role. People look at things in straight lines sometimes. Would having a player who can play a killer pass more frequently than Barkley currently be more benificial than barkley's ever improving quality's? I'm not sure tbh.

Don't get me wrong with pienaar knocking on a bit and Osman a squad player at best, Deleufoe only a loan adding a playmaker to the squad would be a good move. Does it have to be done now? I'm not sure...

Suppose it depends if RM feels Barkley can play mccarthy's role and whether he feels it's worth the loss to the team further forward.

Im only saying that Barkley could drop deeper should injuries or suspensions hit mate as he is a far better option than Osman their, otherwise i'd say Tadic would replace peinaar in the starting 11, start using peinaar more as an impact/squad player, obviosuly if Barkley gets a knock then allows steven to come back in the left with tadic swapping to a more central position

theirs also the idea that at home certainly or vs any team aprking the proverbial bus against us, that a midfield of barry/barkley or mccarthy barkley with someone like a tadic playing ahead would be a better way to break them down as well, as it stands atm vs those teams we struggle at times maybe due to playing effectively 2 defensive mids

agree, I don't see LM as a priority, we have 4 other players who could all potentially play there.

Assume Traore deal is done, the priory will then be DM cover as you say.

Traore deal is looking nailed on mate, suggesting that bobby is leaving the permanent solution to the striker problem until the summer whilst he fixes the other areas of the squad this January - i hope, mid cover can be sorted by getting in Natkho mate, he is a very similar type player to Gibson only without the appalling injury/fitness record and should we get him can see Gobson being moved on in the summer tbh, other option would be DeFour, would be cheap enough and definitely adds quality to the midfield, not a like for like for nay of them in their but thats no bad thing as he brings something different
