TBH would take Ince, he'll be dirt cheap and could easily be sold on if he acts a nob. Only problem is his div dad would no doubt want to watch him.

Wiki says he did his knee ligaments at valencia and then suffered a relapse.

They bought him anyway - which is a good sign. Quite shocked he only played 10 times for madrid?!

He seemed like a future spanish national team centre midfielder a couple of years back.

SO hyperthetical situation, now that Chelsea have supposidly said they would listen to offers for Mata.... Baines and £15-20 million for Mata? Yey or Neigh

Snag is barrys on 120k a week and city paying half. I doubt hed want to sign with us for half when we can all wait till summer and he wont lose out 6months on 60k extra.

Values mata at 30mil when we have no forwards and couldnt cover his salary anyhow.

Easy to do: 1/2 of 120k weekly is 60k, x 26 weeks (~the time remaining) = about £1.5M. Pay that to Barry as a signing bonus. City would sell him for free (his transfer fee = wage savings of £1.5M), so total transfer cost is £1.5M.

But that assumes quite a bit. Both Barry and Bobby are calm and calculating in their decision-making. They are both the sort who likely have next summer already figured out. (Although Bobby has already said he would give Barry time, inviting him to decide in the summer, not rushing him to make a decision).

Then again, City could see the loan as a big advantage over Everton in the May fixture. Would City pay £1.5 for an extra 3 points to seal the League? Certainly they would, if that's what they thought it might take. Why would City take a chance on losing the League (in what is currently such a tight race) to save a few million £?
