Ahh cheers guys that explains it. Still a big hit to take on a player in just 18 months.

Will be interesting to hear today whether there is anything in that Express report of "a view to a permanent move", doubtful I'd have thought but lets see.

Aye mate its noticable that a few big money signings have been allowed to run their contracts down lately too, McGeady, Nahtko, Honda to name just 3 off the top of my head, makes me wonder if the wages on offer have been cut as well as the current fire sale going on around the league from a few teams

As for the Express story, i think their just taking a bit of a punt, knowing that we likely have a decent pot of money for the summer ear marked for a striker and figuring if he does well he may become someone we look to bring in and Monaco are happy with making a quick profit as they target some huge Cavani or Falcao like signing, more likely is that Bob has tried to get some form of pre agreement in for a second season loan if things work well for both parties - like apparently he has with Barca over Dele

Maybe trying to get a clause in there for a second season possibility of the loan deal. No chance of a buy clause, Monaco have only just bought him. Some still seem to suggest we may be getting the Belgian striker in too. 3 strikers of that quality would certainly add some competition up top.

We still need that extra CM player tho. Ideally someone who can pLay Both deeper and in the more attacking No.10 role (hard to find)

Can we sell Heitinga and not replace him?? Obviously stones and alcaraz provide the cover at CB but alcaraz can not be relied on to be fit. Think another young one could be needed to replace Heitinga was he to go.

Intresting last 10 days window for us I imagine. Must say I'm a little worried to see what utd and Liverpool do tho also.

defour to fulham,,, he any good then,,,?we looked at him a few seasons back ?

I've said it before that I don't think he's good enough. If he really was that good why would he go to a team that is 1 point off last place in the PL? Surely there would be better teams interested...

I just want a boss door unlocker.

Is that too much to ask for?

Blue and everything...

The whole Traore deal makes no sense to me. If the rumours are anywhere near the truth then why would Monaco loan him out next year? That would be a waste of a player, unless they are investing in players and if they come good then call them back? It is still a very strange way of operating!

Plus if we are genuinely in the belief that this guy is the best striker avaialble for us right now, why would we be asking about extending the loan knowing full well a)they have just bought him and B) he is going to command high wages considering he came from a ''rich' club and joined a new rich club?

if we do keep him for 18 months, or even until January next year it will help aleviate the Lukaku problem we will have as any new striker we buy (hopefully) will have time to bed in whilst Lacana and Kone provide the experience.

Worst case scenario is that Lacana is another JO, which in that case he will score 2 on his debut and we have a derby game coming up.....
