Mourinho
Wenger
Mancini
Rudy Garcia
Biesla
Ten Hag

Just off the top of my head - plenty of coaches in world football better than this dolt mate.
Mourinho & Wenger? Wenger is 70 yrs old next month!
Both of these wouldnt be long term appointments..which is whats required in order to change the long term culture of this club.
Bielsa is a brilliant coach but again someone who would stay long termk
The other 2 names are interesting.
Does Garcia speak English ?( important I think). I liked the way Marseille played..fast paced abd brilliant on the counter attack and may have the mindset that fits.
Den Haag..also interesting whos team plays great football and may well be tempted to manage in PL..his qualities are good but would he be tempted by EFC to go from playing every year in the Champions League,

Too old, wont come, not the everton way blah, blah blah,

Jesus H Christ, we have spent and will continue to spend hundreds of millions in the market, we have about the 6/7th highest wage bill in the top league in the world. We have a fanatical and big fan base, we are probably going to be moving to a new stadium in a few years,

If that is not enough to entice a top class manager with experience of success in the top 6 in either England, Italy or Spain then we really should just switch off the lights,

Seriously the apathy of those supporting Brands/Silva defy belief in that they think we cant do better,

I realisea lot disagree but I honestly think Jose Mourinho would be a terrible appointment. I don't understand how anyone could look at his career and see evidence that he's the right man for the Everton job. Do you think that our situation is in any way comparable to that of Porto, Chelsea, Inter, Real Madrid, Chelsea or Man Utd? Do you think that a club looking to build a new stadium can afford his likely transfer budget requirements? Or the potential disruption that he is capable of generating if he's doesn't get his own way? That's not to mention he wouldn't settle in Manchester so what makes you think he will be happen merseyside?

Wenger is too old to take on the project as manager. He could make a good Director of Football, but we have just appointed one of those.

Mancini is an Italian who has won everything at club level bar the CL and is now managing his national side and starting to show results. How likely do you think a former international turning his back on his country to come here?

I get the hankering for an established manager, but none of them come with guarantees. I think the approach, of looking for an up and comer, remains the correct one. So if replacements are being sought, better to look at guys like nagelsman, who will stay for a few years and build from ground up.
How many `up and coming' managers prove to be a success at the top level. Very few.

Koeman, Martinez and Silva are just 3 who have failed dismally.

Why fall for the 3 card trick everytime mate? I would suggest you find a Howard Kendall or Ferguson one in every 80 appointments.

We need a PROVEN manager at the top level.

Any manager is a gamble but at this stage we simply have to take it as this fella is a busted flush.

Id say his work at Estoril is very impressive myself.

Silva has impressed by getting sides to punch above its weight.

I maybe wrong but this is the 2nd longest spell he's had at management. He's shown nothing if trying to make good teams great.

I don't count Olympiacos and Sporting as "improving" teams either being they're 2 team leagues.

Youre blaming Silva for Colemans inability to cross + Schneiderlin and Sigurdsson being unable to link play?

Diego Simeone says hi.
Coleman has never been able to cross that is true long before Silva came on the scene. But Schneiderlin and Siggy shouldn't even be on the pitch they are both dreadful. It won't be long if he keeps selecting both it like we are playing with nine men.

the one good thing is the fact hes not on a koeman or Allardyce contract … 1.5m a year I think .. so the pay off wont be horrendously bad this time
Why is anyone concerned about pay off for managers. They are the most important appointment at a club by a million miles.

We are worried about paying off a few mill when we have spent over 400mill on players the last few years on going exactly nowhere, possibly backwards.

You really wonder what goes through peoples minds.

Nah think he's on about £3/4 mil a year so will be £6-8 million pay off.

Consider Koeman and Alladyce were £6 million a year its definitely less than the other pair.

Just think of the money Moshiri could have saved had he just gone for a proper manager right from the get go

2 team league like England?

Portugal is a 3 team league really with Porto, Sporting and Benfica.

Incidently weve been scouting benfica games recently...
