Silva must go

Too old, wont come, not the everton way blah, blah blah,

Jesus H Christ, we have spent and will continue to spend hundreds of millions in the market, we have about the 6/7th highest wage bill in the top league in the world. We have a fanatical and big fan base, we are probably going to be moving to a new stadium in a few years,

If that is not enough to entice a top class manager with experience of success in the top 6 in either England, Italy or Spain then we really should just switch off the lights,

Seriously the apathy of those supporting Brands/Silva defy belief in that they think we cant do better,
Silva has impressed by getting sides to punch above its weight.

I maybe wrong but this is the 2nd longest spell he's had at management. He's shown nothing if trying to make good teams great.

I don't count Olympiacos and Sporting as "improving" teams either being they're 2 team leagues.
Take look at who is the Manager. Coincidence?

Id say his work at Estoril is very impressive myself.

ESTORIL mate ???

the only way id see that as impressive , is if hed won the Euoropa league with them..

didn't silva just take them from the Portuguese 2nd division which is like the bostik rymans premier north league to the Portuguese first div??

if your impressed by that then eddie how has taken perenial league two club who were heading out the league altogether and made them into a Premeir league mainstay...

silva has not done anything to suggest hes got what it takes to manage at the very top, and that is what we are after is it not.

don't even go there with the greek league .. managing olympicos in that league is like being manager of man city in the conference

Why is anyone concerned about pay off for managers. They are the most important appointment at a club by a million miles.

We are worried about paying off a few mill when we have spent over 400mill on players the last few years on going exactly nowhere, possibly backwards.

You really wonder what goes through peoples minds.
because it affects spending power over the next few years

it just helps out if its not another 10-20m pay off like weve had to do 3 times previous

Nah think he's on about £3/4 mil a year so will be £6-8 million pay off.

Consider Koeman and Alladyce were £6 million a year its definitely less than the other pair.

Just think of the money Moshiri could have saved had he just gone for a proper manager right from the get go

Change the record.

Every post is the same.

Why not write to Marcel Brands or something constructive?

Honest question do you watch us mate? I havent been to many games this season due to work but if I was going home and away (or just watching us on tv) I couldn't be as happy as some fans seem to be.

Some fans literally would accept this dirge for 5 seasons straight thinking things will suddenly change.

We have been a car crash since Moyes and 2 of those 4 managers I believe you rate - doesn't that tell you that what you consider to be a recipe for success in this league isn't working?

Not having a go btw I just get the impression you think because we have a manager who likes playing attacking (lol) football and are signing 19 year old kids that we will suddenly transform into Barca overnight when all the evidence points towards us stagnating year after year.

2 team league like England?

Portugal is a 3 team league really with Porto, Sporting and Benfica.

Incidently weve been scouting benfica games recently...

Which has only recently been the case. As well as having recently got 4 teams in both finals of 2 European competitions.

And the point still stands that he took a job where basically he'd win something without much effort.

oh right ok. either eay he left. he cant be on anywhere near the money he was on here like...
No ofcourse not..but it showed he had ambition and wanted to test himself. He had worked with Silva for many years at other clubs with him and its clear they worked well together and he was a big influence.
May be missing him more than what was realised.

sometime the assistant is more important than the 'face' of the club..

I was hoping this going to happen to Klopp when his assistant uppped and left, but instead of getting bad they went better

arrrrgghh !
