Bunnahabhain 18 is on a deal for £82, has anyone had it and is it that much better than the 12 to go for it?

I'm hoping that a few subtle hints is going to ensure Santa brings me this this year.Ardbeg.
Aye me too.I'm hoping that a few subtle hints is going to ensure Santa brings me this this year.
Ardbeg is the whisky I buy for others who love the Islay malts. I’m not a “peaty” fan myself though I always seem to have a bottle of Lagavulin in, mainly because it gets bought for me and I don’t drink it quickly!, but it and Laphroig seem to be the most popular/ ones people have heard of , so Ardbeg is a bit different and people usually like it.I'm hoping that a few subtle hints is going to ensure Santa brings me this this year.
Laga 16 is probably more comparable to Ardbeg Uigeadail than 10yo. It's pretty rich stuff. Both out of my price range these days, sadly.Ardbeg is the whisky I buy for others who love the Islay malts. Sorry if it's been discussed earlier in the thread, but thoughts on Aberlour 12? It's on 'offer' for £28 in Sainsbury's. Bad deal or worth sampling?
I’m half way through a bottle of Aberlour 12 Double cask matured. Love it , a typical Speyside single malt, I’ll certainly get another when it’s gone. I think I bought it on a whim , the distillery is just off the main road I some times take when heading south and after passing it it was on offer at Tesco’s a few days later. ‘‘Twas a sign to buy!Sorry if it's been discussed earlier in the thread, but thoughts on Aberlour 12? Are you just dismissing this because it's not peaty? It's a wonderful whisky.Pick anything that comes from Islay, bar Bunnahabhain. Laphroaig if you're on a budget, Lagavulin is expensive but bound to be appreciated. But Islay is the key.
