Uh oh, they have stuff from independent bottlers which is the hardest stuff for me to get hold of here... You 'kin enabler!

Lord, help meh...

Yeah, I've got some really unusual bottles over the years from them, they are the only place I can get Linkwood occasionally and I've picked up some very hard to find rums, bourbons, gins for mrs d. Great site, no friend to your bank balance though!
The samples are quite a new thing across the range, great idea though. That Mortlach sounds very tidy.

Anyone had the pleasure? I'm weighing it up...this one ( as I have never sampled The Macallan) or my favourite Oban Distillers Edition.
At 52.9% ABV, I may be enjoying the upcoming winter down here ;)

Usually you can’t go wrong with any of The Macallan range, I’ve never tried their cask strength stuff though. I’ve bought cask strength 61%%- 63% at whisky auctions but in truth I’ve never enjoyed them at that strength , everybody is different of course .

Anyone had any of the Aldi whiskeys? I've bought the 8 year old to give a try..
If you want cheap, sorry, budget, look around for your basic Dewars White Label. No notes of this, hints of that and a slight pretentiousness at the back of the palette
Just a whiskey you can drink neat, with just an ice cube or 2:1 soda. for not much dosh.
*runs from the whisky Gestapo

If you must have something with a cork in it, depending where you live vis a vis price and such obvs try The Sthe singleton.jpgthe singleton.jpgSingleton
They had it near me on special at au$52 / £28

Also had an Oban Little Bay

This wasn't you by any chance popping to the store last night? :D

Today I have had;

Aberlour Casg Annamh

Aberlour A’Bunabh

Kilchoman Machir Bay
Aberlour was the last place we went to before lockdown, lovely wee place , nice lunch , walk
along the Spey, a visit to an otherwise empty whisky shop, sadly Mrs Blueloon wasnt up for checking to see if the distillery was open .A decent whisky though, I’ve half a bottle left of a 12 year Double Cask Matured. Nice.

I've got a bottle of the Mortlach 12 year old. It's very good..

Is there anything worse than pouring a drink and realising that is another bottle finished? In the last week I have said goodbye to a Bunnahabhain 12, a Glenfiddich 12 and I have a Bushmills 10 and JW Green label all at critical levels. Heartbreaking stuff.

I'd been maintaining a strong relationship with a bottle of Balblair 1991 which ran dry last month. It was like a lover had left me.
