Yeah, I've had a bottle of that in the past, very nice.Had a 15 year old Glenlivet last month, best I've ever tasted.
French oak reserve, sweet & rich.
Proper superb stuff.
Almost not a whisky in as much of its depth and smoothness. You cannot dislike any Glenlivet product.Yeah, I've had a bottle of that in the past, very nice.

Wholly accept what you're saying. Sometimes its the "moment" that makes the drink and the aftermath.Interestingly enough I bought a Glenlivet 12 a few years back and while I wouldn't say I disliked it, I wasn't a massive fan of it. I had a large glass of that last night and the time has rounded out the strong peach flavour and like the Highland Park it was a lot more to my taste.
However it left me with a headache (which it has done before). Strange how you can get problems with some drinks that are far less proof than others. Or could just have been a bad batch.
Cheers, that’s decided tonight’s wee dram, Glenlivet 12 double oak!Interestingly enough I bought a Glenlivet 12 a few years back and while I wouldn't say I disliked it, I wasn't a massive fan of it. Springbank 10yo for me tonight. First time I've been able to find a bottle for ages. Everywhere was sold out last time I was buying whisky.
One of my absolute favourites. Smoker than I remember.
