really smooth, full flavour, peppery and spicy aniseed mixed with that classic caramel American whiskey profile. Excellent. Definitely gonna go through the rest of their range.

Bagged a 15 yo El Dorado rum for a steal as well.

Yes there were some massive bargains on there!! Foolishly I withheld from buying any..

We drove past the Balvenie distillery a week today after taking a visitor to the nearby Speyside Cooperage , which is well worth a visit if people are in the area.
I was going to write that you could probably get a Glenglassaugh 30 year old for that price, then I checked its current price , wow , such an increase in just a few years !

Some friends bought this for me and its a very decent malt and rye blend.




Good effort from Lynchburg, a trace of the classic JD flavour but with a peppery hit from the rye, not bad at all.

I drink a lot of whisky and I mainly stick to Irish, but occasionally drink Macallan. My GF bought a bottle Tullibardine the other day, which I would recommend.

My favourite is an Islay variety called Bunnahabhain, but I know a few on here favour the peaty ones. I would say Caol Isla is my favourite peated one.

Their 10 y.o. is always a good call. It's always been a bit of a lottery, in the sense that you might open up something worth a bit less than what you paid, but you also might also open up whisky gold.

Sadly, that lottery has made less and less sense over here as the price of a bottle has more or less doubled in the last ten years. People figured it out, and exchange rates didn't help matters.
