Single malts

I have recently moved house and have been decorating for every spare moment I have had over the last 6 weeks. Today I do nothing, apart from fix the shower and put up a curtain rail, after that I intend to settle down and drink some of the bottle of Bushmills I have. Perfect day for it here in Northern Ireland, it is blowing a gale.

Does anybody have a suggestion for a single malt for my other half? I usually buy him one every couple of months but tend to buy the same few bottles, Penderyn, Laphroaig and Bushmills. He likes floral ones and not heavilly peated apparently. Cost isnt really an issue, would just like a different variety for him.

Laphroaig is one of the most heavily pleated malts available.

Get him a bottle of Dalwhinnie 15yo.

Laura, that's me too. This is my favourite, as I keep telling the poor folk in here regularly.
Oban Distillers Edition. Just love it. Pm me the invite to come and drink it with your man ;)

What does Malt Whiskey taste like ?

I always wanted to have a crack at it but I imagine it to be of a specific taste, sometimes feel like I need to get more hairs on my chest to be worthy of trying it lol

I remember Asda used to do their own label Islay whiskey for about 2/3 the price of a brand label,as their are so few distilleries on the Island it would have had to be one of the brand ones it originated from, haven't seen them for some time, does anyone know if they've stopped selling them?
