Bruichladdich for me. One of the Port Charlottles or if you really like a peat monster the Octomore.I can see why you'd describe it as tamer than Laphroaig, it's less "medicinal", but there's a lot more going on flavour-wise than standard Laphroaig 10 if you ask me. Cask strength Laphroaig 10 is another matter though
You'll have to get on some Ardbeg next, that's the pick of the three south Islay distilleries for me.
I stayed in a lodge at Skiddaw View a few years back. Lovely place with, unsurprisingly, stunning views.Im on holiday Carlos, spent the week in the Lake District. Got a nice little lodge and just got out of the hot tub! You??
Bruichladdich isn't South Islay but yeah, they're a fab distillery. Would love to try one of their crazy Octomore experiments but they're usually out of my price range, unfortunately.Bruichladdich for me. One of the Port Charlottles or if you really like a peat monster the Octomore.
Come on, Islay is way to small to have a north and south. I tried the Octomore at the distillery, interesting drink, very smokey but more to it than just smoke.Bruichladdich isn't South Islay but yeah, they're a fab distillery.
