its not just about the clubs tho, as I said MLS is the biggest its ever been and I think donavon wants to be at the forefront of that.

as I said beckham had the chance to play for a whole host of top europan clubs but turned them all down, LA is a tough place to leave especially to be coming off the bench most of the time

Beckham moved there for money, fame and to boost his own ego as he was going to be the best player in the league. However he had already proved himself in the best leagues/teams in the world so good luck to him.

Maybe they should, but they were playing at a time when it was nowhere near as common to move to different countries to play football.

It's clearly more ambitious to play in one the best leagues in the world than it is to play in the MLS. Being good enough to be a regular part of our team is a much bigger sporting achievement than winning an MLS trophy.

I would just question how ambitious a 30 year old who has played for Everton, Bayern Munich, Leverkusen and in two of the last three World Cup elimination rounds needs to be.

Having said that, without any inside info whatsoever, I think he's done with the MLS. He was magical last night (along with the rest of the squad) though.
