Sir Landon Of Donovan

But I don't brink we need Landon at the mo. Sure he's good, but we're ticking along quite nicely without him, and he's gone all "I want to find meself", anyway.

I'm all for the fella, but would he actually add anything at the mo?

The whole thing with him being out of love with the game is some kind of game to get transferred, imo.

He would add depth, which is exactly what we need right now, and is what stops us from competing with the teams above us consistently. If we hadn't bought Mirallas he'd buy a guaranteed part of the starting eleven no questions asked, and now he'd be our best sub without doubt. No more having to bring Naismith on, no more having to play Fellaini behind Jelavic.

I'm not sure what players we could buy who would add more than Donovan does without spending a lot of money, money which we don't have.

He would add a lot to our team.

Mirallas, but not necessarily because he's better (haven't seen enough to really know for sure).

Ideally though i'd like to play both, Donovan is probably the more well rounded player, ideally it would be:

Howard
Coleman Jagielka Distin Baines
Donovan Gibson Fellaini Pienaar
Mirallas
Jelavic

Boss team that is.

I do like that team but.... I would swap Kev and donovan... kev has raw pace down the wing which would destroy fullbacks....donovan is cleverer on the ball and would be able to pick a pass better .

Yeah, that's what would make him a boss signing, we'd actually start to have some proper options in the starting eleven. My thoughts were just that Donovan would be better cover for a roving Coleman down the wing, and Mirallas would have less to worry about with the free role in front of Felli and Gibson.

If we were to sign Donovan in January and get Ofoe on loan we'd have real options.

Thing is Moyes will stick with Felli up top and osman and Gibson in the middle (if fit ) leaving the right of midfield as the headworker between Landon and Mirallas.

Where's Neville???

That is a boss team.

I agree that I may switch LD and Mirallis too. Another benefit of getting LD (and Mirallis) back in the squad would help give Moyes better options up top instead of moving Fellaini there. While the big fella is very good up top, it isn't the position he prefers. He has said many times that he prefers to have the game in front of him and play a DM role. So getting LD back could actually help us in keeping Fellaini happy and around!

Was happier not seeing this thread pop up again though... my heart just can't take it any more. Really hoping we hear something soon. Come back LD.
