Don't disagree one bit. This was his chance to at least make good on all his verbal Everton jizz. If you had really been touched there Landy, make the move to get onboard for a run at CL football, don't act like a star crossed lover. I'm done with this. Really disappointed I am.

Who's to say he wasn't sat in LA waiting for the call that never came
Who's to say LA didn't ask for silly money

We probably didn't even go in for him knowing he will be even cheaper by the summer or free by the end of the year?

Still it is shame every GoT member is legally obligated to click on this thread and read it every day because ... oh what's that? We're not? That's odd. From the way some people carry on I just assumed it was required.

Treat the guy who pays for this site out of his own pocket with a little bit more respect for God's sake.

(And lol at thinking that a thread like this would make any meaningful contribution to the site running costs)
 
Much nlame can be laid at the feet of the board et al. over our dealings but I'm afraid the blame here rests solely with Moyes. He should have gone for Donovan. Major miss
 

Personally I would have wanted LD to come back as he was a decent player who seemed pleased to wear the blue shirt. However, whether he prefered life in LA (who wouldnt?) or whether Bill didn't want to buy him (and God knows his track record ain't great) it doesn't now matter.
Sadly, we won't see him back at Goodison and we need to move on. Shame though, a player like that would help to shift a few shirts and raise the profile of the club.....though that would only further expose our marketing directors/marketing team as being as incompetent as we know they must be.
 
I've said it once and I'll say it again, if you don't like what's being said in this thread, then STAY OUT OF IT.

We've already had one member banned for seven days because they felt the need to wander in and tell us to close it.

Anyone else need a seven day vacation from GOT because I'd be happy to oblige.

My advice, stay out of the thread if you don't have anything constructive to say on the subject.

I've hardly survived that involuntary one day vacation stemming from D/D's application of sawdust to the server.

I'm disappointed that we couldn't swing a deal, but that won't take from the contributions he's made for Everton and soccer (the easiest way to refer to footy in the US, and much easier than using the cumbersome USMNT handle) as a whole.
 
He would have been a handy players for us, we dont know why this deal never came off, it could have been any of the following reasons.
Moyes didnt want him
Moyes wanted him but he wasnt worth the value his team wanted
Landon didnt want to join us and wanted stay in L.A
Landon is burnt out.

He can fill different positions
He a hard worker
He understand Everton
He a good lad with good ethics.
He a team player
He quality
All the traits Moyes looks for in a player

Just dont get it.
 
Landon was great for us but past is the past. If fit I would like to see Mirelles down the right and Oviedo given a run down the left with Piannar, Felli and gibson in midfield.
