Glad you've got it all sorted mate.

Off topic ... ive just bought a new house and move in in about 3 weeks. It's a new build so I'll have to sort out my Internet, phone, TV etc a couple of weeks before hand so it can all be installed for when I move in so I'm not waiting weeks for it. What are people's preferences for TV packages? I've got Sky now but alot of my mates/family have got virginmedia, BT etc. I'm not really too fussed aslong as it's got sports for the footy. Just wanted to know people's preferences for TV packages and if there's better stuff out there than Sky?

With it being a new build you might not be able to get fibre optic services, so virgin TV will be out etc.

I've been waiting for the swines to do mine for over five and a half years. With BT and the sport is not bad with them, some premier league games and champions league stuff plus the UFC. Everything else I'll stream

i havent cancelled the account, i cancelled the direct debit

it doesnt it just means i have to re set the detials up when i do make the payment, probably on friday.

Its not a case of avoiding paying them, had issues with money that should be resolved friday (bank holiday issues), but not having any money now is a little bit of an issue as the money should not have been taken
and you have the cheek to question how everton do their business on deadline day.

Had poor customer service issues with Sky when dealing with them for my girlfriend. That said, I managed to get her line rental, weekend calls and basic broadband off them at £5 for an entire year. No joke. Like 40p per month or something.

I won't give them a penny. Stinks of Murdoch. It's like buying The Sun in my eyes.

Not exactly difficult to access all the sport for free either!
Is she fit?

@Ashtonian clearly you don't need the jumpers now but seeing as @Bungle has let me down with this trampoline and you're flush you can have for a ton?? I'll even throw in some DVDs he ordered which should help keep your late night sky 'extras' down a bit??
I've not sympathy for him Dougie. He is complaining about money but it was only a couple of weeks ago that he went out and bought a PS4.

His priorities are all over the show.

Hold fire mate, I sold him that PS4 at a great price.

In real world prices old Mabel would be well into he 90's before she's even paid half that deposit off.

He got it at a bargain to be fair..

have been with all of them at one point or another, sky tv is the best out of them for tv packages, virgin internet has been decent and the v box is a decent bit of kit, phone all three virgin ,Bt, sky and play them off against each other, just say one has offered something and can they beat it, research it on the net before you do it as they know each others basic plans.
There are other ways to watch the channels you want some not strictly legal , but you can get a setup for about £60 if you have a dish, then £25 a year,
Android boxes running kodi, like the amazon fire stick £35 or the box £70 which is better, if you put a little effort in you can get most of the stuff you need, bit up and down but if one stream isnt working there are plenty of others,
Dont fall for the hard sell in the adverts for some of these boxes i haven't seen one yet set up ,
that you cant improve yourself with 20 minutes messing about using Totalxbmc installer and pick a community build that suits you, which does all the work for you, its on youtube how to set up and use, its simple, and free.
find myself using the android box more than the satellite these days better for movies, catch up and you can get most matches .

I use TVMC (Kodi/XBMC) for windows on my laptop, and it works ace. All the movies, programmes and live footy I need. I have been so impressed that I've ordered the Amazon Fire TV system...Along with Amazon prime will give me everything I need for just £70 a year. When you compare that against a sky package with movies and footy - you are looking at £70 a month! the robbing gets.

No brainer really for me
