Sky TV fixtures announcement

I am quite happy with this fixtures from the tv.
I just love Saturday 3pm kick off.
And as I am working Monday-Friday, Saturday is the perfect day for the game.

Booked flights for the three BR family for Middlesboro at home €135 return total for us all.

Just add cost of match tickets, hotel, grub, drink, diesel, car parking at airport etc etc

Ah well...looking forward to seeing the new project in the flesh.

I know but I said "scheduled" as opposed to a random cup draw. The last time in the FA Cup was in the early 80s.

1980 fa cup 3rd round, we played holders Arsenal at Goodison and the [Poor language removed] hosted Altrincham both on the saturday afternoon, they had a bigger crowd by the way.

I don't know why people are surprised or care, most match going fans prefer Saturday games anyway. I don't like early kick off's off's or Sunday games because the atmospheres always rubbish. Yes I know people will say money but, at the end of day we've got Moshiri now, I'd be happy to sacrifice a few televised fixtures to enjoy going to match at a reasonable time.

If we get a 2-3 big signings in I'm sure a few games will be re-arranged, because now we are still little Everton to the media.
I agree though 3pm Saturday kick offs are the best.

Turns out the Spurs game is on sky at 3pm. But only available to us Irish customers.

Not sure what their BT games are like but Arsenal only have one live match there, far more surprising than us only having the one.

Looking through this thread, the level of paranoia towards the media is breathtaking. I think we'd all prefer a 3pm Sat kick off anyway, so why the conspiracy theories about not being shown live. We've not done much for the tv companies to choose us over certain other teams anyway. we're the best fans in the World at the match but the levels of paranoia & so called favouritism of the top 4 or 5 is a bit silly. What have we done to earn to gate crash the big boys, we have to earn it. There's even accusations that the media don't want us to succeed ! I don't believe that for a second, we've not performed. Simple as. The media perception WAS changing after Bobbys 1st season, but it all went to pot. The last 2 seasons there has been 10 better teams than us. We gotta do our talking on the pitch to earn respect. Let's drop this lickle old, everyone hates us routine.

So we get possibly the first ever scheduled Everton and Liverpool home (and away) fixtures on the same weekend as a result of the new roof on the Pit Main Stand.

2nd weekend - Everton at West Brom, RS at Burnley - reverse fixtures in March with Everton home on Saturday, that lot on Sunday.

I never noticed that.

We've both played at home on the same day with the same kick off time in the past in the FA Cup.

1977 was the last time (I think).

We beat Derby County 2-0 at The Park and they beat Boro 4-0.

Then we had a date with Clive sodding Thomas in the next round

Why are people crying over sky fixtures, if you don't go the match just about every single boozer in the whole city has all our matches on anyway. Get out, support your local publican and watch the match with people rather than sat in your pants on the couch.

This is quite right to a large extent. That said, I have a season ticket and go to a few aways but I still have a 'Sky Package' because I follow all football and a few other sports. I suppose it depends on the individual (and what they can afford etc).
For me (and others it seems) its just annoying how Everton are perceived by the media in general. We can't understand it (even though we're all biased) particularly when others get all the limelight all of the time. I mean Chelsea finished 10th last season and RS 8th. But they still make sure they're included in all the promotional blurb and punditry chat. And now West Ham are starting to be included for some unknown reason.
I can live with it though, as going to watch Everton live at the game overrides what Sky etc think about us.

We've been on sky loads of times and a lot more than most in recent years . Some bad victim mentality going on amongst our support from things like this to transfers and moshiri not talking to the fans .

Some people need to get a grip . Plus Saturday 3pm ko's are what English football is all about .

Given the ridiculously 'easy' start on our fixtures, with the only really tp team we are playing being Spurs was always going to be a case of us not featuring that much on TV early doors, Spurs game would have been a nailed on TV game if it wasn't on the opening weekend, as the bigger stories are Guardiola, Mourinho, Conte and the reigning champions who always get shown first weekend (and well the rs v Arsenal is the biggest match up opening weekend as well)
