Southampton Fans View

I hope they get Neil Warnock as manager, get relegated so they can defend the St Johnstones Paint Trophy like they deserve. I also hope an asteroid hits the borderline of Southampton causing the city to break off from the UK and float off around France and Spain down the Med to the Middle East.

This will help the Arab world to stop hating Israel as they hate Incest more than the Jewish people.
Gosh, that one is harsh ..

I do feel for Saints fans

Some are laughing at them for wondering why Koeman would want to leave, but you're always going to rate your own club's standing higher than those who don't support it do

Seeing Blues look down on them and laugh at them during what must be an unpleasant moment, doesn't sit right with me

Before we won the lottery with Mr. Moshiri, we were often in Southampton's position. I've seen so many good Everton sides torn apart by player sales, while fans of other clubs laughed at me for being angry about it. When Arteta left, I distinctly remember Man United fans being baffled at my annoyance, considering the financial gap between us and Arsenal

Some Saints fans may be acting like beauts, but that's mainly because they're upset at the prospect of losing a good manager, and the very likely outcome that he may then turn around and poach some of their best players on the way out

It's the same way a lot of us probably felt about 4-5 years ago when Spurs were courting Moyes

So I'm not going to have a go at The Saints fans. I feel sympathy for them and hope they make the right appointment should Koeman decide to move on. We've felt their pain in the past

I'm sure as well that a lot of the people who complained about Moyes coming in for Baines and Fellaini will have no problem with Koeman coming in for Saints players and trying to get the lowest fee possible for them, just as they were happy for Martinez to pillage Wigan on his way out

Sorry mate, but while we've been upset at losing players over the years - like Jeffers, Rooney, Arteta etc. - and indeed managers in Moyes, we've always readily understood it.

The reason everyone is laughing at Southampton fans is because they genuinely don't understand it and think it's, at best, a sideways step, and most of them think it's a step backwards.

That's the difference. They're deluded to the extreme; we're just merely angry all the time.

Just the right amount of patronising in there Mikey and you nailed the condescending tone, they'll be more livid at your post than by any of the ones offering them fights and calling them inbreds.

They are coming off a much better season than us mate

We've been historically more successful, but in 2016 the main difference between us and them is that we have the Billionaire and they don't

I can completely understand why some of them see it as a lateral move at this current point in time (Or worse a money team poaching their manager at a point where things are going well for them. All in the game like, but I'm not going to taunt them about it)

I don't think it is, as I'm an Evertonian. But I can completely understand why a non-Evertonian would think that

They were better than us overall last season and he's built a good side. There's no guarantee he could come here and be successful, but if he stays at Saints he could really kick on with that squad he's got

We were crap and they still couldn't beat us. LOL.

Well said. Football is a very cutthroat industry and you have to make enemies to succeed sadly.

I like Southampton too. I have a friend who is a massive fan of them, he once worked for the club too. He will be devastated as he rated Koeman higher than Pochetino.

I hate any club trying to take anyone from us. I rate my club higher than any other team in England and would quite rightly question why anyone would want to leave Everton for the likes of Man U, Arsenal, or Chelsea. That is a step down imo.

The Southampton fans have every right to vent anger and frustration at any club trying to disrupt what has become a very good side.

KOPITE thread disgrace

Hi there mate, in the month since you've joined you've labelled this thread kopite and a few people kopites, see below;

https://www.grandoldteam.com/forum/...buys-season-tickets.88672/page-2#post-4531603

https://www.grandoldteam.com/forum/threads/most-likeable-supporter.88756/page-6#post-4541294

https://www.grandoldteam.com/forum/...reset-21-05-2016.83876/page-1316#post-4522550

You also started a thread claiming to have insider info that season ticket sales were down by 10,000 and were promptly piped down and had your thread closed. https://www.grandoldteam.com/forum/threads/season-ticket-sales-down-10-000.88154/

Now don't take offence here mate, but I can't help but think you're trying to deflect a little bit from your own kopite tendencies.

So?

One season doesn't mean anything. Hell, five seasons don't. This was a League One club very recently.

Do you think Gundogan would have considered Leicester as a destination ahead of Man City? No, of course not, because their reputation and overall likelihood of success are way lower than City.

Southampton to Everton is objectively not a lateral move - to think it is is pure delusion, on the scale of us thinking Everton to Manchester United is a 'lateral move'.
