Saints have 14th highest wage budget in Prem. Selling their best players. Moyes took us to where they are now with the 7th highest wage budget and selling our one best player once every two or three years and lauded for it. They are well and truly punching above their weight More we ever did. Although I don't see "punching above their weight" in every single media article about the Saints. Why were the media so friggin condescending about our "acheivements" when we really didnt acheive anything but floated about? Southampton are the ones who really achieved something this season yet media just goes along like thats whats expected. Maybe leicester winning the Prem has changed this.

You should go back to threads around that time mate

People showing not an ounce of sympathy for us taking half of Wigan's team but then in the next post whinging about Moyes coming in for Baines

It's either all okay or all not okay

Grass is always greener mate as they say...

People in glass houses shouldnt throw stones

Pot calling the kettle black...

All these saying are around for a reason

For me it's part of the game, but how it's done matters hugely, most mangers raid their former teams - for the dross when they manage a lower team or for the best when they manage a bigger/richer team

Moyes did it all wrong, he denigrated us whilst trying to poach on the cheap, rather than just using the finaincial and media influence of the new club to get what he wanted, he tried to be billy big bollocks and it backfired, and ultimately cost him career wise - united saw him as small time, we saw him as a judas and he burnt his bridges forever at everton

I propose we give them Unsworth in return. Some managerial experience at a small club could put him in contention next time the EFC job is available.

Also would like to see a few of our younger players loaned there. Get some top flight games under the belt without the pressure of expectation or a large demanding crowd.

I also like the look of Van Dijk and Tadic. They'll do to boost the numbers.

Sorry lads, the toffees are burning 50's and there's nothing you can do about it.

Hi there mate, in the month since you've joined you've labelled this thread kopite and a few people kopites, see below;

https://www.grandoldteam.com/forum/threads/most-likeable-supporter.88756/page-6#post-4541294

https://www.grandoldteam.com/forum/...reset-21-05-2016.83876/page-1316#post-4522550

You also started a thread claiming to have insider info that season ticket sales were down by 10,000 and were promptly piped down and had your thread closed. https://www.grandoldteam.com/forum/threads/season-ticket-sales-down-10-000.88154/

Now don't take offence here mate, but I can't help but think you're trying to deflect a little bit from your own kopite tendencies.

stop acting like them then ....easy.

Obviously I get the joke behind this post, but the final line worries me. It is an inadvisable and unsustainable business model, and I don't want to see Everton go down that road.

As others have already correctly pointed out, Southampton's billionaire owner is more wealthy than Moshiri... a few minutes on Forbes and other similar websites reveal this is true, with Katharina Liebherr's wealth being approximately 2.5 times that of Farhad Moshiri (various sources estimate Liebherr between £3b and £3.5b, whilst Moshiri is listed at #75 in this year's Sunday Times rich list with £1.4b.)

Now obviously the total wealth is not the only factor with considering - if it was then Newcastle, owned by Mike Ashley (£2.4b, and #45 in the Sunday Times rich list), would not be the complete and utter disaster of a club that it it clearly is. Having money and knowing what to do with it are two very different things. Now Liebherr inherited her money from her father, whereas Moshiri has worked in finance for decades - he's been Alisher Usmanov's financial adviser since 1989, and Usmanov is worth more than Liebherr and Moshiri put together.

If our rich owner really is throwing HUGE money at Koeman and Southampton's even richer owner is choosing not to match or beat the offer when she CLEARLY can, shouldn't we be asking why?

Nah, just enjoy the ride I reckon.

Good post maybe they don't rate him, or has he took them as far as he can?............or maybe just maybe he wants to move to a BIGGER club....either way i think it shows that we have more to offer and have more scope to fulfill his ambition.

Win Win for us.
