Won't argue that theirs different types opf pressure and people react differently to those depending on their character, but today mate was a game where every bit of luck we've had recently with og's came back to haunt us, and we got a few big decisions at key moments not going our way, throw in we looked generally knackered in certain positions (only i'd say McGeady, Baines and Naismith pre knock) looked fresh

put it this way we looked that tired i actually thought Osman when he came on added energy :O
I'd agree with that to the extent it's at the end of a long season injuries are impeding us now, but IMO they looked ragged and lacking self belief from the moment Alcaraz headed in that OG. You could sense the balloon being burst. Southampton were right up for it, yeah. but the lack of composure was criminal from us. I'm disappointed in the CM pairing, tbh. Barry especially. He's an experienced player and offered no leadership at all (also Baines in that respect).

I honestly want to see something to hang onto from that today, but it's desperate.

I really don't care if us beating City hands the sh*te the league. We're Everton and we should be focusing on our own performances and league position, not worrying about them across the park.

Finishing fifth (or fourth with a stroke of luck) will be outstanding for Bobby's first season, and as disappointed I am with today's performance, this season overall has been quality.

COYB!

Some players out there looked shattered. money needs to be invested into this squad in the summer and some of the dead wood sold or givin away but I dont think we could give Osman away.

arsenal spend £42,500,000 / £32,500,000 net

everton spend £23,500,000 / -£16,500,000 net

celebrating finishing a couple of points ahead of a team who are not supposed to be able to compete financially is embarassing and shows how low arsenal have fallen

I'm really, really disappointed. Two own goals scored, two stonewall pens denied, zero heart shown bar two blokes, one season wasted.

Top work Everton, even by your standards.

Ive calmed down slightly.

This season, regardless of today's result has been brilliant. I've genuinely enjoyed watching Everton play football, at times under Moyes we were massively predictable and played [Poor language removed] football, Roberto breath of fresh air.
If you offered me 5th place, Europa League and our HIGHEST points total in the Premier League at the beginning of the season i would of snapped your hand off.

You get the feeling that the Moyes era is still fresh in players minds, with that i mean, the bottling, or shitting ourselves in big games seems to still be there at Everton, but if anyone is going to remove it, its Roberto Martinez.

We'll be even better next season whilst taking the piss in Europa. Up the 'TON.

Yes, this all day.

As bitterly disappointing as that cake and arse party was today it's been a relative success.

Sorry but if Chelsea beat the RS, I will be a City fan next week. 4th is gone now, Arsenal wont slip up - they have the experience.

Haha... imagine after the city game Martinez saying 'we scored 2 own goals last week so though unexpected, today's 24 is hardly suprising and the fans where encouraging us on which is a pleasing factor'.
