Wanyama beasting it in the middle here

Yep, been awhile since I've seen him after he left Celtic...Gave a few away cheaply but he's a big reason Everton haven't been able to have much joy in the midfield - forced to play almost exclusively from the wing which puts more pressure on the wide players in Naismith & Deulo...The way he comfortably dispossessed Barkley was a good example of how much solidity he brings to the holding mid role

Clyne & all that pace has done a great job frustrating Deulofeu...The one time he switched over to Shaw and the right, he put in that delicious cross for Lukaku that should've been in the back of the net really...I'm sure that's the plan, to keep switching back & forth but right is going to work better for Gerard, IMO

Disastrous defending obviously

Central defence has been been incredibly poor, Alcaraz is CRAP! The two wingers/forwards in front of our fullbacks are nowhere near good enough. Deulofeu is overrated in the extreme!
Our goal Keeper has not covered himself in glory either that cross for their 2nd goal was his he came and went back not a striker in his 6 yard box Bostick man strikes again!

The bad luck we've been wanting to finally visit the RS has instead fallen on us.

Again though we're failing to cope with a side that presses high up the pitch.

PS - Lalanna is different class to Barkley. Barkley is hardly involved after setting the tone by misplacing his first pass of the game straight from the KO, after which we never touched the ball until it went into our net for their first goal. If Hodgson is going to choose between them for Brazil then it's a no-brainer.

Its too late now, a PL team simply can't go from having a half of football without creating a chance and looking susceptible to falling further behind, to scoring 3 goals in the second half without conceding. Season over, in the main its been a good one but when it really counts we really really Everton really really let us down, this will be the 5th time this season out of 6 we have lost/drawn a game when we could have gone 4th or cemented it a bit with a win. Sunderland, West Brom, Liverpool, Palace and today.

#EVERTONTHAT Bottlers

Not bottlers at all, we have been brilliant this season. This is just a hard league and we simply don't have the squad to compete against the money clubs. We gave it mighty good go though.
