That midfield today was atrocious. If I'm Brands i get Gana on a plane to Paris tomorrow and put the money towards a new CF. Might be time to give Gomes a couple of game on the bench as well. Might be the annual time of the year to dust of James McCarthy for a few games until he gets hurt as usual.

A half fit James McCarthy would put a lot more effort than any of the midfielders did today, and most of the other players, an hell of a lot more effort.

I have just lost all interest now and for someone who has been everywhere watching Everton loved them I am just not arsed now I don’t even bother celebrating when we score a goal I’ve just lost all hope and it’s been like this for a few seasons now I just watch out of habit. Sad really.

Other teams in the league won’t stay crap for long. If we don’t sort ourselves out soon West Ham, Wolves, Watford, Bournemouth etc will overtake us for our precious 7th place trophy in the seasons to come. Wolves arguably are better than us and they’ve been here 6 months.

I dont think we have a hope of 7th. Our home games are mostly against top 6 and we are crap away.

Would you take mid table right now for his first season and if not, why? What are your expectations?

I don’t think 7-8th is beyond us. The league is weak. The teams around us are bang average in Premier terms. The fact we can perform so poorly and still be in a position to get the magic 7th shows how bad the League is. I would like to see us playing in a manner that reflected what the manager is trying to do. The position can change over a few games but I would prefer more consistency and a plan. We don’t appear to have had either for the last month and a half. He has time to change and I’m patient. I doubt many blues accept the current level of performance.

KFC is too good for 12th a trip to greasey Eddies, chippee, in my home town would be more appropriate.

I can’t even see what he’s doing to have faith we have the right guy , he’s not made the defence better despite obvious glaring faults I don’t see a style much diff to last season,I just see a spineless bunch of players who can’t even string 4-5 passes together and who get easily bullied whenever in a battle
