Scuti is not even close to being the biggest. There are a lot of bigger stars that have been discovered. If they can confirm its size it is believed that Stephenson 2 DFK 1 would be the biggest which looks like is twice the size of Scuti. Current confirmed biggest is WOH G64 which is in the Large Magellenic Cloud. The largest in the Milky Way is VY Canis Majoris. These would make that little Sun spot in your image much smaller. This has probably been shared in this thread before but this is the size of the Sun compared with the biggest known star currently. Shows how insignificant we are in Space.

What Is the Biggest Star?
The biggest star in the universe makes our sun look tiny speck.www.space.com
I haven’t but years ago I was in Cape Cod and the stargazing was surprisingly incredible. The number of stars was almost dizzyingAnybody been to a dark sky area? I know there are a few in the US, would like to take my kids and check it out and wondering if anyone has experience/advice on this. Thing about dark skies is they're in the middle of nowhere, so it's hard to find decent lodging for soft, posh people like myself and the entitled rugrats I drag along with me.
I’ve been to plenty of places I would describe as dark but never a true dark sky sanctuary (is that the name?)I haven’t but years ago I was in Cape Cod and the stargazing was surprisingly incredible. The number of stars was almost dizzying
Going to Brecon Beacons, North Wales in a fortnight camping with the little fella (5) who's bonkers about space. Already got his telescope and lenses packed and ready to go. Can name all the galaxies and nebula already and currently learning the constellations. He's got my head blown tryna keep up and keep him interested. Never gave space a second thought really until a year ago lolAnybody been to a dark sky area? Make sense. There's nothing better then toking a fat doobie and then staring up at stars all night!
