Journalists are supposed to seek out the truth and expose liars not simply accept as fact.

Since when, mate?

Sports journalism is on it's arse, there's too much free content and clickbait to warrant any paid writer to do anything than run the story the bosses want.

Most of the online stuff can be bought off with a press pass and the occasional question.

As long as there has been football there have been absolute wrong-un's attracted to the game. The history of the league is littered with cases, one, at random - Leyton Orient - for example. The only people who care that we're being lied about are some of our own fans.

Nobody else cares. If Ronaldo had an opinion on it, that would be a story. Otherwise, we've got to accept that our ownership and the board that advises him despise us for not accepting their version of reality. They blame us.

That's the part that keeps bringing me back, they blame us. Let the mask slip, let us see them for what they really are.

But nobody outside of our fans care. Just as we didn't when it was Orient or Coventry, Blackpool or York City.

I've seen some of our fans quickly pulled in the Street End for vaping or if one has smuggled a pint to their seat so surely this 'incident' with DBB would have been caught on camera somewhere or seen by stewards?

I will not believe it until I see video evidence. The club has really stitched up it's own fans and just give fans of other clubs a chance to mud sling at us.

It's bad enough having a crap manager , terrible players and an incompetent board of directors but to compound it all Kenwright DBB and the rest of them have now embarked upon a crusade to blame the fan base and drive a wedge between the fans and the club just to try and save their own skin .

What we need are journalists prepared to ask tough questions, to shine a light on the dealings of this board and expose the liars.

I fear that something far more important is at stake than relegation, that is a fight for the soul of Everton FC.
